iQOO is gearing up for the launch of its next flagship series. The iQOO 8 series is confirmed to launch on August 17 in China. Ahead of the launch, some key details of the upcoming iQOO phone have been confirmed. It will draw power from a Snapdragon 888+ SoC under the hood. The phone is also confirmed to feature a 2K AMOLED display. Ahead of the launch, the phones have visited the 3C certification website. iQOO 8 3C listing

iQOO 8 launches in China on August 17. Ahead of the launch, the flagship smartphones from iQOO have visited the 3C website. The website confirms the previously leaked charging details of the devices.

Two iQOO phones with the model numbers V2141A and V2136A are listed on the 3C website. The listing reveals that the phones will support 120W fast charging. These two devices are believed to be the upcoming iQOO 8 series phones, which could launch as iQOO 8 and iQOO 8 Pro. There is also a third smartphone with the model number V2133A. This phone is speculated to be one from the Vivo X70 series, which will support 44W fast charging.

It was previously rumoured that the upcoming iQOO flagship will support 160W fast charging. However, the 3C listing confirms that the devices will support up to 120W fast charging. Details of the battery capacity remain unknown at the moment. We can expect the devices to pack at least a 4000 mAh battery.

As mentioned above, the iQOO flagships will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ SoC under the hood. The ‘Plus’ Qualcomm chip gets two major performance improvements. The SoC’s prime core CPU gets boosted to 2.995GHz, compared to 2.84GHz on the SD888 SoC. It also gets 20 per cent improved AI performance over the SD888 SoC. The performance unit will include 12GB of RAM and also feature 4GB of extended RAM support.

It will come with a 2K E5 AMOLED 10-bit display. The display will also feature LTPO (Low-Temperature Polycrystalline Oxide) tech for a variable refresh rate support that switches between 1Hz and 120Hz depending on the on-screen content. iQOO is yet to confirm the display size of the device.
