iQOO will launch its new flagship smartphones soon in China. The company will launch the iQOO 9 series on January 5. Both devices, the iQOO 9 and its Pro model are expected to launch in India as well. Ahead of the launch, some key details of the premium smartphones have surfaced online. The latest leak comes from a poster uploaded on Weibo (via Abhishek Yadav). The poster reveals the key specs of both iQOO smartphones. While iQOO has confirmed the fast charging and display details, the poster confirms the camera setup of both devices. Let’s take a look at the iQOO 9 series specs, features and other leaked details.
iQOO 9 series specifications
iQOO 9 series will comprise of two devices, iQOO 9 and a Pro variant. The two flagship smartphones will come with Qualcomm’s latest chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. Ahead of the launch, the Weibo post also confirms that the Pro model will feature a 50MP triple-camera setup. It will have a 50MP main camera and a 50MP ultrawide camera. iQOO has confirmed that the iQOO 9 series will feature a 150-degree ultrawide camera sensor and a Samsung GN5 main sensor.
The poster also reveals that the Pro model has a 16MP lens, which could be a portrait sensor or a telephoto camera. The vanilla model, on the other hand, has a 50MP main camera, a 13MP ultrawide camera and a 12MP tertiary sensor. For selfies, both models will have a 16MP front camera.
Under the hood, both phones will support 120W fast charging and come with a 4700 mAh battery. The Pro model will also support 50W wireless charging. The devices will draw power from a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC.
While the vanilla model will have a standard Full HD+, E5 AMOLED display, the Pro model will sport a 2K AMOLED panel. The more premium device is said to sport a 6.78-inch curved LTPO display with 120Hz refresh rate support. The vanilla model will have a flat screen. Both devices will launch on January 5. Therefore, the wait for the pricing and other specs isn’t long.
