Well, it turns out that we won’t have to wait for too long to see the device hitting the commercial shelves. A new report has popped up on the internet today, which suggests that the iQOO Neo 3 5G will be launching in China on April 23, 2020. Take a look at the new report and find out what we know about the iQOO Neo 3 5G so far.
iQOO Neo 3 5G: Launch Date and Key Specifications Revealed
The launch date of the iQOO Neo 3 5G has been revealed courtesy of a post made on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo. As per the Weibo post, the iQOO Neo 3 5G will launch in China on April 23, 2020. The post consists of a bunch of images, which drop a hint about the device’s launch date. It also confirms that the iQOO Neo 3 will be a 5G handset. Here’s what the post reads (roughly translated from Chinese):
Blue Factory is too good to play, preheated a “local island” for the iQOO Neo3 conference, and also exposed the time of the conference on April 23, found a circle of friends to go to the island code 0CKSB, like to play Go and see, I think it’s very creative and interesting, and the interaction is good.
Speaking of the specifications of the iQOO Neo 3 5G smartphone that have been leaked in the past, the iQOO Neo 3 5G is tipped to feature a 120Hz refresh rate display. The interface images that were leaked suggest that users will have the option to tweak the refresh rate and lower it down to 90Hz if and when needed. Furthermore, upon closer inspection, the leaked image suggests that the iQOO Neo 3 5G will feature a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. The device is seen running the latest Android 10 OS with iQOO UI baked on top of it.
The punch-hole will be located in the top right corner of the device’s display, much like the previously launched iQOO 3 smartphone. The iQOO 3 was the first-ever iQOO smartphone that was launched in India. It was also one of the first in the country to feature 5G capability. The iQOO 3 received a pretty decent response across the country, save for the fact that it featured a ‘standard’ 60Hz display, which is something modern-day gaming smartphones have ditched for good. The iQOO Neo 3 5G appears to have taken care of that fact with its high refresh rate display.
Powering the iQOO Neo 3 5G will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 5G mobile platform, which will be paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. There, however, could be more storage variants of the device.
As of now, this is pretty much everything we know about the upcoming iQOO Neo 3 5G smartphone, but since the launch date is not too far from now, we can safely expect to hear more about it in the coming days. Whenever we do, we will keep you posted on the same.
