Vivo’s popular sub-brand iQOO is prepping the launch of its new flagship-grade smartphone — the iQOO Neo 3. We have been continuously tracking all developments surrounding the iQOO Neo 3 over the past few weeks. In our previous article published just a day ago, we had also posted the renders of the handset in which the triple camera array on the rear panel is clearly visible. Today, the iQOO Neo 3 has made an appearance on popular benchmarking platform Geekbench. This appearance is interesting in that it has come less than a week before the official launch of the Neo 3 on April 23. Another handset that we have come across on Indonesia Telecom portal is a new handset called the Vivo Y30 about which we shall talk later in this article.
iQOO Neo 3 Appears on Geekbench
We start by discussing the iQOO Neo 3 about which we already know quite a bit. In its recent appearance on Geekbench, the device manages to score 4337 points in the single-core test and 15563 points in the multi-core test. The phone also appears to come with 8GB of RAM.
Take a look at the screenshot below.
We already know that the iQOO Neo 3 will come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset and that there shall be multiple storage and RAM options available for the device. The device also supports UFS 3.1 certified internal flash storage. While the display size is yet to be confirmed, we know that this is going to be an IPS LCD panel with support for 144Hz refresh rate. The phone also gets a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. From yesterday’s leak, we also know that the iQOO Neo 3 supports 44W fast charging and that the phone gets a triple camera setup at the rear.
Vivo Y30 Confirmed by Indonesia Telecom
The second handset we came across recently has the model number Vivo 1938 and at least initially seemed like a close relative of the Vivo X30 series that was announced late last year. However, going by a recent listing on the website of Indonesia Telecom — the country’s official telecom certification agency, the 1938 shall be sold as the Vivo Y30 in that country.
At this point, we do not know anything else about this new handset apart from its official name. Chances are quite high that the device could be closely related to the Vivo X30. However, do take this with the traditional pinch of salt since we are merely speculating. It also remains to be seen if Vivo shall launch the Y30 in other markets outside of Indonesia.
