iQOO launched the Neo 6 5G as its first Neo-series smartphone in India. The new 5G smartphone was a performance-focused all-rounder device priced at under Rs 30,000 at launch. The device is currently available for around Rs 26,000 currently on Amazon. It has been a few months since the launch and iQOO might soon launch a new Neo series smartphone. The rumour mill claims that the upcoming iQOO smartphone will be the Neo 7 5G.

The Neo 7 5G is said to get some upgrades over the outgoing model. One such area will be fast charging. A new leak has revealed some details about the Neo 7’s charging capabilities. Let’s take a look at the iQOO Neo 7 specifications, features and other details known so far.

iQOO Neo 7 Specifications

iQOO might launch the Neo 7 series later this year in China. The new premium smartphone might launch in India soon after its Chinese launch. While we wait for some official confirmation around the launch, a new leak from tipster Digital Chat Station (via) revealed that the Neo 7 5G will feature support for 120W fast charging out of the box.

The Neo 6 came with 80W fast charging support out of the box. The phone also features a 4700 mAh battery, which charges completely in about 40-45 minutes. With 120W fast charging, the charging time could drop to around 20 minutes. iQOO introduced its 120W fast charging tech in the iQOO 9 series.

The iQOO 9 Pro, which was launched with the same battery capacity and 120W fast charging support, was claimed to charge completely in about 20 minutes. With 120W charging becoming a new standard in the upper mid-range smartphone category, it could not be a surprise if the Neo 7 also gets the tech.

Other details of the phone have also been leaked in the past. The Neo 7 might get MediaTek’s Dimensity 9000+ SoC. This could also mean that the phone jumps up the price ladder due to the addition of the flagship SoC. In comparison, the Neo 6 came with a slightly old yet powerful Snapdragon 870 SoC.

The Neo 7 is also rumoured to sport a 6.78-inch E5 AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate support. It is likely to sport a 50MP triple-camera setup on the back with a 13MP ultrawide camera and a 12MP portrait-telephoto camera. If the leaked specs are true, the upcoming Neo series might offer a more flagship-grade experience compared to its predecessors.
