iQOO has launched the Neo 7 and Neo 7 SE in China. The company is now getting ready to launch another smartphone in the lineup. The next Neo series smartphone will be called the Neo 7 Racing Edition. The third smartphone in the lineup will launch at the end of this year. iQOO revealed that the Neo 7 Racing Edition will be launched in China on December 29. The company also revealed some key details about the phone.
The teaser post, which confirmed the launch date of the device in China, also revealed that the Neo 7 Racing Edition will launch with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. Let’s take a look at the iQOO Neo 7 Racing Edition specifications, features and other details known so far.
iQOO Neo 7 Racing Edition: What We Know So Far
The iQOO Neo 7 Racing Edition will be the company’s third Neo 7 series smartphone in China. The official teaser has revealed the processor details of the phone. The Neo 7 Racing Edition will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The SoC, which was the previous Snapdragon flagship mobile SoC, has a peak clock speed of 3.2GHz.
In comparison, the Neo 7 has a Dimensity 9000+ SoC, whereas the Neo 7 SE has a Dimensity 8200 SoC.
iQOO also revealed that the phone will have a Pro+ display chip but details about the same are unknown.
A recent leak revealed some other details about the phone. For starters, the performance-focused phone is said to offer up to 16GB of RAM. We can expect it to arrive with up to 256GB/ 512GB storage. iQOO might also launch the phone with 8GB/ 12GB RAM options.
There will be a 6.78-inch Full HD+ display. It should be an AMOLED 120Hz display with a hole-punch cutout at the top.
In addition to this, the phone is rumoured to support 120W fast charging. This, again, is becoming a standard across all premium iQOO smartphones, which can typically charge the phone in around 20 minutes. The device’s battery capacity is unknown but going by the recent company trends, we can expect the Neo 7 Racing Edition to pack a 4700mAh – 5000mAh battery.
Other details of the Neo 7 Racing Edition are under wraps. The smartphone could arrive early next year in India. iQOO is currently gearing up for the launch of the iQOO 11 5G in India.
