iQOO Neo 8 Series to Get Upgraded Display Features
The iQOO Neo 8 series will launch in China on May 23. Ahead of the launch, iQOO has teased the key specs of its upcoming premium phones. The Neo 8 series is now confirmed to feature the V1+ ISP, which was announced last year by Vivo. The custom-developed image signal processor aims at improving the camera and gaming performance of the phones. It will be paired with the Dimensity 9200+ SoC in the Neo 8 Pro. With the Neo 8 series, iQOO will bring its parent company’s ISP for the first time to the Neo series. The company has featured Vivo’s V-series ISP in its premium flagships, including the V2 in the iQOO 11.
The company also confirmed that the Neo 8 series will offer support for a 144Hz refresh rate. This, again, is an upgrade over the Neo 7 series, which offered up to 120Hz of refresh rate. At the moment, it is unknown if both models will offer a 144Hz refresh rate or if iQOO will reserve the feature for the Pro model.
The Neo 8 Pro is confirmed to feature a Dimensity 9200+ SoC. iQOO has also confirmed that the devices have a triple-camera setup on the back. In addition to this, the primary camera will offer optical image stabilisation (OIS) support.
iQOO also revealed that the Neo 8 Pro scored over 1.3 million points on AnTuTu. In fact, the Neo 8 Pro outperformed the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC-powered ROG Phone 7 Ultimate in AnTuTu and scored 13,63,206 points. The device will launch with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM AND 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage
In addition to this, it was previously tipped that the Neo 8 series will come with a 1.5K resolution display. The AMOLED screen on both devices might be 6.78 inches tall. There will be thin bezels around the flat display and a hole-punch cutout at the top for the 16MP front camera.
iQOO is likely to feature a 50MP main camera sensor in the upcoming Neo series. The devices are likely to pack a 5000mAh battery and offer support for up to 120Hz fast charging. Lastly, the devices are likely to run Android 13 out of the box, with a layer of Origin OS 3 on top.
