iQOO has confirmed the launch of the Neo 8 series. The upcoming Neo 8 series will include two premium smartphones, namely the Neo 8 and Neo 8 Pro. The company has revealed the design of the Neo 8 series ahead of the official launch. The phones are set to make their debut in China on May 23. iQOO has already confirmed some key details about the phones ahead of their launch. A new leak has also filled in for the remaining specs that have not been officially confirmed.
The Neo 8 series is getting some minor design tweaks over the Neo 7 series. iQOO uploaded a short video which reveals the phone’s design and confirms some key features ahead of the launch. Let’s take a look at the iQOO Neo 8 series design, launch details, specifications and more.
iQOO Neo 8 Series Launch: What We Know So Far
iQOO Neo 8 series is confirmed to launch on May 23 in China. The company will launch two premium devices, namely the Neo 8 Pro and the Neo 8. iQOO has dropped a new video on Weibo which reveals the design of the devices. The Neo 8 series will continue to sport a curved rear panel. The variant showcased in the video has a vegan leather back panel in a red colour option. There is a rectangular camera module on the back with two circular cutouts. The Neo 8 5G has a dual-camera setup on the back with an LED flash. The text on the camera module confirms that the Neo 8 will offer support for optical image stabilisation (OIS).
iQOO revealed that the Neo 8 Pro has the newly-launched MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC, which is based on a 4nm process and has a peak clock speed of 3.35GHz. The device will also feature Vivo’s V1+ chip, which aims at enhancing the camera, performance and display features.
The company is likely to confirm more details as we approach the launch. Separately, tipster Yogesh Brar has revealed the key specs of the Neo 8 Pro. The tipster claims that the Neo 8 Pro will sport a 6.78-inch AMOLED display and come with a 1.5K resolution. The device is likely to launch in China with up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of storage.
The Neo 8 Pro is said to get a triple-camera setup on the back. It will feature a 50MP main camera sensor. The tipster did not reveal the specifications of the other two sensors. Brar did reveal that the Neo 8 pro will have a 16MP front camera sensor.
The phone will pack a 5000mAh battery under the hood. It is said to offer 120W fast charging out of the box. Lastly, the Neo 8 Pro will run Android 13 out of the box and have a layer of Origin OS 3 on top.
The Neo 8 5G is tipped to feature a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. It might also sport the same 6.78-inch 120Hz AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and 2160Hz PWM Dimming. We will share more details about the same as and when available.
