iQOO launched the iQOO Neo 8 and the iQOO Neo 8 Pro smartphones in China back in May. The iQOO Neo 8 series features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The smartphones in the Neo 8 series are powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and Dimensity 9200+ SoC respectively. Now, after unveiling the Neo 8 series devices, iQOO seems to be already gearing up for the launch of the iQOO Neo 9 lineup. The upcoming iQOO Neo 9 series devices namely the iQOO Neo 9 and the Neo 9 Pro are spotted in the IMEI database ahead of the launch.
iQOO Neo 9 Series Launch Seems Imminent
The report courtesy of GSMChina reveals that the iQOO Neo 9 has model number V2338A, while the Neo 9 Pro bears model number as V2339A. At present, the specifications of these devices remain a mystery. Additionally, the launch date of the lineup is not revealed by iQOO. Similar to the Neo 8 series, we can expect the Neo 9 lineup to feature an AMOLED display with a higher refresh rate and a bigger capacity battery.
Additionally, considering that Vivo is set to introduce the Android 14-based OriginOS 4.0 in China on November 1st, we also can expect the iQOO Neo 9 series devices to boot Android 14 out of the box. As the days pass, we should be learning more details about the Neo 9 series through some certifications and benchmark listing.
The upcoming Neo 9 lineup will succeed the company’s Neo 8 series. As mentioned above, the Neo 8 series comprises of two devices namely the iQOO Neo 9 and the Neo 9 Pro. These smartphones feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution. Both smartphones offer up to 144Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. The vanilla Neo 8 model uses Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, while the Pro variant is powered by Dimensity 9200+ chipset.

Both smartphones also have a large 5002mm² vapour-chamber cooling system and a 5,000mAh battery. The Neo 8 series devices support up to 120W fast charging. As far as the rest of the key features of these devices go, they boast a 50MP dual-camera setup, a 16MP selfie camera, and a Vivo’s custom-developed Image Signal Processor (ISP). Last but not least, these devices run Android 13 out of the box with the company’s OriginOS 3 on top.
