The IQOO Pro 5G is set to launch in a couple of days in China. Ahead of the launch, the handset has appeared on AnTuTu today with an outrageously high score. Prior to this, both official and unofficial sources have revealed a lot about the handset and it is expected that the device could be the cheapest 5G smartphone in China when it launches on Thursday.

Coming to the AnTuTu score, the IQOO Pro 5G has managed to score very close to 500,000 points. More precisely put, a whopping 497,179 points. There are two other phones that come somewhat close to this feat in recent weeks. The latest one is the unannounced Meizu 16s Pro which hit 460,000 mark roughly. The other one is the BlackShark 2 Pro is with a lower than 460,000 score. The common piece of hardware between all these phones is the Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC that evidently boosts performance by a good extent.

The other stuff which appears in the listing such as the screen resolution, 8GB RAM + 256GB storage and Android 9.0 Pie is mostly unsurprising. It has previously been made official that the IQOO handset will have a 4,500mAh juice pack. Of course, we already know that 44W fast charge will be onboard and we will most likely see a triple camera combo of 48MP + 13MP + 12MP. The display hasn’t been revealed but we’re expecting a 6.41-inch AMOLED panel. There’s also the Hi-Fi Audio hardware that was teased officially for superior audio.

A recent leak had claimed that the 8 GB + 128 GB iQOO Pro 5G could be coming with a 4,498 Yuan (~$639) price tag. Currently, the ZTE Axon Pro 5G base model that includes 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage is priced at 4,999 Yuan (~$710) and holds the title.
