iQOO U5 3C
iQOO U5 is the upcoming budget smartphone from the Vivo sub-brand. It has been spotted on the 3C website with the model number V2165A. The listing on 3C confirms the charging details of the device. The iQOO U5 will come with support for 18W fast charging, as per the 3C listing. This is the only detail revealed via the certification website. The phone was recently spotted on the IMEI database with the same model number, which had confirmed the moniker.
The device is rumoured to launch in December in China, according to some rumours on the web. iQOO has not yet announced the official launch date of its next U-series smartphone at the time of writing this.
The device could feature a 5G processor under the hood, which could be the Dimensity 810 SoC. We speculate this based on the iQOO U3’s specs, which featured a Dimensity 800U SoC. The U5 could also feature a 90Hz IPS LCD and sport a dual or a triple-camera setup on the back. Other expected specs include up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging, etc.
With the U5, the company could compete against Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 11 series, which has already been launched in China. Other details of the device remain under wraps. We will share more details as and when available.
