iQoo U5 5G Goes for Pre-Orders in China: Pricing, Variants Confirmed

iQOO announced the iQOO U5 5G a couple of days back in China. Now, the company has released the variant-wise pricing and the sale date of the handset for the Chinese market. To recall, the iQOO U5 comes with a large display, and a dual-rear camera setup. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor and a 5,000mAh battery. The iQOO U5 comes in three storage memory configurations – 4GB + 128GB, 6GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 128GB. The pricing is as follows,

  • 4GB + 128GB – RMB 1299 (approx Rs. 15,325)
  • 6GB + 128GB – RMB 1399 (approx Rs. 16,500)
  • 8GB + 128GB – RMB 1499 (approx Rs. 17,680)

The handset is already up for pre-order in China and will go on sale starting Jan 1.

iQOO U5 5G Features and Specifications

The handset flaunts a 6.58-inch Full HD+ LCD display with 2408×1080 pixel resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, and 120Hz refresh rate. The display panel also makes room for the front selfie shooter inside a punch hole notch.

Powering the device is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor which comes coupled with Adreno 619 GPU, LPDDR4X RAM, and UFS 2.2 storage. Snapdragon 695 is built on a 6nm fabrication process. The handset boots Android 12 with OriginOS Ocean on top.

The iQOO U5 packs a dual rear camera setup and a LED flash. The primary sensor on the device is a 50MP sensor that gets accompanied by a 2MP macro sensor. For selfies, it has an 8MP shooter on the front.

The handset is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery unit and 18W fast charging. It has a Type-C charging port, a 3.5mm audio jack, a micro-SD card slot, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

It also supports the face unlock feature. Connectivity options include Dual sim, 5G, 4G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, Beidou, GLONASS, GALILEO, and QZSS.
