Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO has finally taken the veil off its iQOO Z1 5G smartphone in China. The iQOO Z1 is a mid-range 5G handset, which comes powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ processor. As a matter of fact, the iQOO Z1 is the world’s first smartphone to use this processor. Furthermore, the iQOO Z1 features a 144Hz refresh rate display and 45W fast charging. iQOO Z1: Price and availability

The iQOO Z1 has been launched in three memory variants – one with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, which is priced at CNY 2,198, one with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which is priced at CNY 2,498, and one with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, priced at CNY 2,798. The iQOO Z1 is currently available in China and the company has so far not given a word on the global availability of the device.

iQOO Z1: Specifications and features

Starting with the display of the device, the iQOO Z1 sports a 6.57-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate. Users of the device will be able to switch between 60Hz, 90Hz, and 144Hz refresh rates. The display of the device comes with a single punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera, which is located in the top right corner.

Under the hood, the iQOO Z1 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ processor, which is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. On the software side of things, the iQOO Z1 boots the latest Android 10 OS out of the box with the company’s in-house iQOO UI baked on top of it.

As far as the battery of the device is concerned, the iQOO Z1 sports a 4,500mAh battery, which supports up to 44W of fast charging over a USB Type-C port. Speaking of ports, the iQOO Z1 retains a 3.5mm headphone jack. The iQOO Z1 features dual 5G SIM card support and has NFC as well.

Coming to the cameras of the device, the iQOO Z1 sports a triple rear camera setup, which includes a 48MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP sensor. At the front, the iQOO Z1 features a 16MP selfie snapper.
