
Vivo sub-brand iQOO is gearing up for the launch of a new Z-series phone. The company will debut the new Z5 5G in China on September 23. iQOO has also confirmed that the device will soon launch in India. While the launch date for the Indian market remains unknown, the company confirmed that the device will launch as an Amazon India exclusive. It is also confirmed to feature the new Snapdragon 778G SoC. This processor is also found on the likes of the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G and the Realme GT Master Edition. iQOO has confirmed some of the key specs of the Z5 5G ahead of the launch. The new iQOO smartphone will launch in China on September 23. The teaser post confirms some of the key features of the upcoming iQOO smartphone. As expected, the device will come with a 120Hz refresh rate display. The display will also have a touch-sampling rate of 240Hz. In addition to these display features, the iQOO Z5 will support HDR10 and come with TUV Rheinland certification. It is still unknown if the display will be an IPS LCD or an AMOLED.

Some more details of the device have been teased. It will have Hi-Res audio and Hi-Res audio wireless certification along with a dual stereo speaker setup. As mentioned above, iQOO has previously confirmed that the device will feature a Snapdragon 778G SoC. The device is also confirmed to come with the latest LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. We can expect the device to launch with 6GB/ 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.
We speculate that the phone will continue to come with 55W fast charging support at least. Other details of the device remain unknown at the moment. The phone’s India launch date remains unknown. It is expected to launch in India in October 2021.
