iQOO launched the Z7 5G earlier today in India. The new Z series phone is a successor to the Z6 5G, which was launched last year in India. Compared to the Z6 5G, the Z7 5G has received several upgrades. The phone features a faster processor, and a brighter display and gets an in-display fingerprint scanner. It also gets support for optical image stabilisation (OIS). Following the launch of the new iQOO Z7 5G, the company has announced a price cut for the Z6 5G. The iQOO Z6 5G has received a Rs 1,000 discount in India.

iQOO Z6 5G New Price in India

The iQOO Z6 5G was launched in India at a starting price of Rs 15,499 for the base model, which offered 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The device has now received a Rs 1,000 price cut. Now, the 4GB + 128GB variant of the Z6 5G can be bought for Rs 14,499. The Z6 5G 6GB + 128GB variant, which was available for Rs 16,999, can now be bought for Rs 15,999. The top-end storage option with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage can be purchased for Rs 16,999 as opposed to the launch price of Rs 17,999. There is also a Rs 1,000 discount on HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank card transactions on the purchase of the Z6 5G.

In comparison, the Z7 5G has a launch price of Rs 18,999 for the base 6GB RAM variant with 128GB of storage, whereas the 8GB RAM variant can be bought for Rs 19,999. The phone is available in Pacific Night and Norway Blue colours.

The Z6 5G, for the price, offers a 6.58-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD with a 1080 x 2408-pixel resolution and support for a 120Hz refresh rate. The display has a water-drop notch at the top for the front camera. There is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner as well.

On the back, there is a triple-camera setup. The phone supports a 50MP main camera sensor, which is the Samsung JN1. There is also a 2MP macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, the iQOO Z6 5G has a 16MP front camera.

The phone also features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC. There is a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. The phone runs Android 12 out of the box and has Funtouch OS 12 on top.

Should You Buy?

The iQOO Z6 5G is still a good phone for the price on offer. If you are someone who wants reliable performance, a big battery and a fairly tall display, the phone can be considered. The device is also one of the most affordable 5G phones under Rs 15,000 in India.

However, the Z7 5G, for the extra price, offers a better multimedia experience with its AMOLED display, faster performance and charging and support for optical image stabilisation (OIS) for the main camera.
