iQOO Z7 series is set to launch in China on March 20. The company has confirmed to launch two new mid-range smartphones, namely the Z7 5G and the Z7x 5G. The Z7 5G is also launching in India on March 21. However, the Indian variant is pretty much different from the iQOO Z7 5G launching in China a day prior. Ahead of the official launch in China, the company has confirmed some key specifications (via) of the Z7 5G.

The iQOO Z7 5G will feature a new Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC under the hood. The upcoming Z-series smartphone will also get a new liquid cooling system. Let’s take a look at the iQOO Z7 5G specifications, features and other details known so far.

iQOO Z7 5G Specifications: What You Need to Know

The iQOO Z7 5G Chinese variant will launch with a new Qualcomm Snapdragon 782G SoC under the hood. The details about the SoC are unknown. iQOO is expected to announce more details about the same at the event on March 20. We can expect the SoC to offer incremental upgrades over the Snapdragon 778G+ SoC, which has been widely used in many upper premium smartphones, such as the Nothing Phone (1).

In addition to this, the iQOO Z7 5G is said to get a bigger vapour chamber liquid cooling system, with a 71 per cent increase in thermal conductivity. The company claims that the new cooling system is capable to bring the temperature down by up to 15 degrees. The device is, therefore, claimed to offer sustained peak performance for intensive tasks, such as playing games at 120 fps for an hour.

iQOO has also confirmed that the Z7 Chinese variant will feature support for 120W fast charging out of the box. The design of the phone was also revealed, which confirmed that it will feature a dual-camera setup on the back. The Z7 5G has support for optical image stabilisation (OIS) for the main rear camera. The device will launch in an orange colour option. We can expect it to be available in more colours as well.

Some rumours suggest that the phone will feature a 6.67-inch IPS LCD with support for a 120Hz refresh rate. It is also likely to feature a 50MP main camera and a 5000mAh battery.

Alongside the Z7 5G, iQOO is confirmed to launch the Z7x 5G in China. The phone was spotted on Geekbench with a Snapdragon 695 SoC, Android 13 and 6GB of RAM. It is expected to run Origin OS Forest on top of Android. The Z7x is also likely to pack a bigger 6000mAh battery under the hood. It is unknown if either of the Z7 series phones from China will launch in India. The Z7 5G might launch in India as the Z7 Pro 5G. However, iQOO has not confirmed any details about the same officially.
