iQOO Z7 5G Price in India to Be Under Rs 20,000; 8GB+128GB Variant Confirmed

iQOO will unveil its new iQOO Z7 5G smartphone on March 21 in India. It has been a while since the brand has been teasing the features of smartphones. The upcoming smartphone is the successor to the iQOO Z6 and iQOO Z6 5G smartphones. Earlier, consumers had to sacrifice many features to opt for the 5G variant. The company wants to avoid this and offer a complete experience to its consumers in the mid-range segment. It has various upgrades over its predecessor in areas like display, chipset and more. Ahead of the launch event, iQOO has confirmed the pricing and variant details of the upcoming smartphone.

iQOO Z7 5G Price Range and Specifications

The vanilla Z7 launching in India would be different from the Chinese model. The brand has confirmed that it is launching an exclusive variant in India. The latest press release from the Chinese OEM tells us that the smartphone will be priced under Rs 20,000 in India. iQOO will launch the smartphone in an 8GB + 128GB variant.

The pricing would surprise many users as it brings an AMOLED panel, a new chipset, higher fast charging and more. Previously, iQOO had confirmed that the smartphone would be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 920 5G chipset. The chipset is built on a 6nm process and scores more than 485,000 on AnTuTu, which is considerably higher than Snapdragon 695 chipset.

The GeekBench listing of the smartphone confirmed that the device would run on Funtouch OS 13 based on Android 13 out of the box. The company also confirmed the existence of an AMOLED panel with a peak brightness of 1300 nits. The display will also have an in-display fingerprint scanner and a waterdrop notch.

Many brands don’t offer an in-display fingerprint scanner with an AMOLED panel to save costs even in the sub Rs 30,000 segment. iQOO Z7 5G is also said to be the slimmest smartphone in the segment, with a 7.8mm thickness. The smartphone is said to be backed by a large 5000 mAh battery with 44W fast charging support.

The company claims the device can charge up to 50% in 25 minutes. Apart from this, the company has also confirmed that it will feature a 64MP primary rear camera with OIS. The primary sensor is likely to be accompanied by a 2MP macro sensor. Previously, it was tipped to be priced at Rs 17,999 for the base variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.

The 8GB variant will likely be priced at Rs 19,999 since the company had confirmed that it would be launched under Rs 20,000 segment in India. The smartphone will be available in Pacific Night and Norway Blue colour options. The waterdrop notch inside the display will house the 16MP selfie camera. The upcoming smartphone will be sold in India through Amazon.in.
