iQOO has officially launched the Z7 5G in China. The Chinese variant of the new Z7 5G is quite different from the one launched in India. The variant launched in China features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 782G SoC under the hood. In comparison, the Indian variant of the Z7 5G has a MediaTek Dimensity 920 SoC. It is not just the processor that is the only difference. The Z7 5G Chinese variant sports a tall display and packs a bigger battery.

iQOO has not confirmed if it plans to launch the Snapdragon 782G-powered variant of the Z7 5G in India or other markets. While we wait for some more details on that front, here’s a quick look at the iQOO Z7 5G price, specifications and features.


iQOO Z7 5G Price in China and Specifications 

The iQOO Z7 5G has been launched in China with three storage options. The base model of the phone packs 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It is priced at CNY 1599 (roughly Rs 19,200). There is also an 8GB + 256GB variant of the phone priced at CNY 1699 (roughly Rs 20,400). The top-end storage option has 12GB of RAM and 256GB of memory. It is priced at CNY 1899 (roughly Rs 22,800). 

The Z7 5G Chinese variant is available in three colours — Orange, Black and Blue. The phone has a polycarbonate back. It weighs about 201 grams and measures 8.75mm in terms of thickness. There is a hole-punch cutout at the top centre for the front camera. The phone has a flat display and comes with fairly thin bezels around it. The Z7 5G sports a tall 6.64-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD with a 19.9:9 aspect ratio and a 2388 x 1080-pixel resolution.

The phone has support for a 120Hz refresh rate. It comes with a dual-camera setup on the back. There is a 64MP primary camera sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. The primary camera sensor has support for optical image stabilisation, which is also found in the Indian variant of the Z7 5G.

For selfies, the Z7 5G has a 16MP front camera sensor. As mentioned above, the phone packs a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 782G SoC, which has a peak clock speed of 2.7GHz and is based on a 6nm process. The SoC features an Adreno 642L GPU as well. iQOO has packed up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

The phone packs a beefy 5000mAh battery under the hood. There is support for 120W fast charging out of the box. The box has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and support for AI face unlock. The smartphone boots on the latest Android 13 update out of the box. It has a layer of Origin OS 3.0 on top of Android. The device has a 3.5mm headphone jack, support for Bluetooth 5.2 and dual-band Wi-Fi.
