Later, both the forthcoming iQOO Z series smartphones were spotted on the 3C certification website revealing its fast-charging capabilities. Another tipster, Panda is Bald revealed the launch timeline, colour options, and variants of the vanilla Z8 smartphone. Digital Chat Station has revealed the complete specifications of the smartphone ahead of its rumoured launch in Q3 of 2023.
iQOO Z8 Leaked Specifications
Digital Chat Station confirms that the device will feature a 6.64-inch IPS LCD panel with a centered punch-hole cut-out. The tipster adds that iQOO will use a flat panel with the smartphone, offering a Full HD+ resolution of 2388 x 1080 pixels. DCS confirms the presence of a high refresh rate panel but doesn’t reveal the refresh rate explicitly. However, reports on the web suggest the presence of a 120Hz refresh rate similar to the vanilla iQOO Z7 model in China.
The upcoming iQOO Z8 will be equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset, built on a 5nm process. The octa-core chipset has one Cortex-A78 core clocked at 3.1GHz, three Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 3.0GHz, four Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.0GHz, and Arm Mali-G610 MC6 GPU. The GeekBench listing of the smartphone revealed 1273 points in the single-core and 4011 points in multi-core tests. The listing also confirmed the 12GB RAM variant and Android 13.
DCS reveals that iQOO will launch the smartphone in 8GB and 12GB variants. The smartphone will run on OriginOS 3.0 based on Android 13 out of the box. Panda is Black also confirmed that the device will have up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The tipster adds that the smartphone will feature a dual rear camera setup. iQOO will equip the smartphone with a 64MP primary sensor with OIS.
The 64MP primary sensor will be paired with a secondary 2MP macro sensor. The company will equip the iQOO Z8 smartphone with a 16MP selfie camera inside the punch-hole. The device will be backed with a 5000mAh battery with 120W fast charging tech. A previous report revealed that the device would be launched in Black, Blue, and Isle of Man (Green) colour options.
