The iQOO Z8 was launched in China last week, along with the iQOO Z8x. The device features the Dimensity 8200 chipset and comes with 120W charging support. The device has now been spotted on the Google Play Console, hinting at the global release of the phone.
Since Google is banned in China, smartphones launched in the country are not permitted to have Google Mobile Services. The Google Play Console is a portal where developers can test the performance of Android apps. The listing of iQOO Z8 on the portal could mean that iQOO is looking to launch the device outside of China.
iQOO Z8 Specifications Spotted on Google Play Console
The Google Play Console has listed a new iQOO device with the model number V2314A. The same device was launched in China last week as the iQOO Z8. The listing indicates that the smartphone will run Android 13 out of the box.
It also confirms that the iQOO Z8 will ship with the Mediatek Dimensity 8200 processor, paired with the Mali-G610 GPU. The phone will also have a 12GB RAM variant.
The global variant of the iQOO Z8 will get a Full HD+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2388 pixels. These details confirm that the Chinese variant of the iQOO Z8 will launch in global variants without any changes in specifications.
The iQOO Z8 will feature a dual rear camera setup. The primary camera will be a 64MP sensor with an f/1.8 lens, accompanied by a secondary 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, there is a 16MP sensor with support for 1080p video recording.
The global variant of the iQOO Z8 will also get the same 5000mAh battery with 120W fast charging. The device will also have a headphone jack along with a side mounted fingerprint scanner.
iQOO Z8 Pricing in India (Expected)
The iQOO Z8 is priced at RMB 1699 in China, which translates to approximately Rs 19,300. Based on this pricing, we can expect the global pricing of the Z8 to be around Rs 21,000 in India.
iQOO recently launched the Z7 Pro in India for Rs 23,999. Since the Z7 Pro and the iQOO Z8 are in the same price bracket, the company may launch the Z8 a little later. As of now, iQOO has not shared any timeline of launching the iQOO Z8 in India or any other markets.
