Budget smartphone maker Itel has launched the A48 in India. The new A-series phone from Itel is an entry-level offering. It is priced under Rs 7,000 in India and comes with Android 10 Go Edition. The phone competes against the likes of Poco C3, Realme C11 (2021), Micromax In 1B and other entry-level smartphones in India. Itel’s latest offering comes with a 6.1-inch display. The device has a thick chin bezel below the display and a water-drop notch on top. It comes with a dual-camera setup on the back. Itel A48 price in India

The Itel A48 comes in a single 2GB + 32GB storage option. It is priced at Rs 6,399 and comes in three colour options – Gradient Green, Gradation Purple and Gradation Black.

As part of the launch offers, Jio customers can get instant price support of Rs 512 and additional benefits worth Rs 4,000.

Specs and features

The A48 comes with a 6.1-inch display. It has an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1560 pixels and comes with a water-drop notch on top for the front camera. Under the hood, the phone draws power from an unspecified 1.4GHz octa-core processor. It is paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Users can expand the storage by up to 128GB using a micro SD card slot. 

The entry-level phone packs a 3,000 mAh battery. It runs Android 10 (Go edition) out of the box. On the back is a dual-camera setup. The camera setup includes two 5MP sensors. Itel’s new smartphone under Rs 7000 also comes with a 5MP front camera sensor.

The device has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and supports AI Face Unlock. Other features include dual-SIM VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, a micro-USB port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
