One year after the commercial launch of Jio Fiber, the company on August 31, 2020, has announced the launch of new tariff plans. The major changes to these plans include the fact that the most affordable of the plans start at just Rs 399 a month. Jio has also introduced truly unlimited plans that do not have a FUP. All home plans will also offer symmetric download and upload speeds. Jio customers had complained of asymmetric speeds in the past, and it seems the company has decided to finally address this problem. The newly introduced plans from Jio include the base Rs 399 plan, the new Rs 699 plan, Rs 999 plan, and the Rs 1499 plan. Another new addition is the no condition 30-day free trial option that lets users try out the connection for a month for free and then decide whether or not to continue.

Let us take a look at all of these plans and the benefits they offer.

Reliance Jio Fiber New Plans

Jio Fiber New Plans

All of the newly introduced Jio Fiber plans are listed in the chart below, and it also shows the benefits and OTT platform subscriptions on offer. The major advantage these plans offer the old ones is that they are simpler to grasp and address all the basic concerns users generally tend to have about broadband connections. Note that all the new plans continue to offer unlimited voice calling. Only the higher-priced plans (Rs 999 and Rs 1499) offer access to 12 OTT platforms that include Netflix, Amazon, Disney+ Hotstar, among others.

  • The base plan that costs Rs 399 offers 30Mbps download and upload speeds
  • Next up is the Rs 699 plan that ups the download and upload speeds to 100 Mbps
  • Then we have the Rs 999 plan that offers 150 Mbps download and upload speeds
  • The priciest plan of the lot costs Rs 1499 and offers 300 Mbps download and upload speeds.

The prices of all plans are exclusive of GST.

As mentioned earlier, there are no ifs and buts with these plans with no FUP limit either — making them all truly unlimited plans.

Jio Fiber No Condition 30-day free trial

Jio Fiber has also announced the launch of a No Condition 30-day free trial offer wherein users can try JioFiber for 30 days for free. In the event that they are not satisfied with the service, they can opt-out of the plan, no questions asked. During the 30-day trial period, subscribers can avail 150 Mbps download and upload speeds with no FUP. Jio has also included the free voice calling option fo users who are in the trial period. There are two ways in which consumers can avail of the 30-day trial offer. Note that you will be required to pay a refundable deposit amount in both the scenarios. And both these options offer 150 Mbps speeds.

The first option is to pay a refundable amount of Rs 1500 and avail the offer. This option, however, does not offer the 4K set-top box or access to OTT platforms. The other option is to pay a refundable amount of Rs 2,500 and avail the same 150Mbps speeds and access to OTT platforms with the 4K set-top box as well as the OTT platforms.
