This year, the Jio Independence offer doesn’t include the complimentary Disney+ Hotstar as the telco is working on growing its own JioCinema platform. Jio is known for offering an Independence Day deal on its most expensive Rs 2,999 prepaid recharge pack annually. As expected, the Jio Independence Day 2023 offer is back ahead of August 15 this year. Notably, the telco announced the Independence Day offer last year as well on August 10. However, there are notable differences between benefits offered in 2022 vs. 2023. The pack offered a free Disney+ Hotstar annual subscription to users in 2022. But since Jio is now competing directly with Hotstar, the benefit has been removed.
The Jio Independence Day Offer 2023 on Rs 2,999 recharge pack offers the following benefits to users:
- Rs 100 off on orders worth Rs 249 on Swiggy.
- Up to Rs 1,500 on flights booked on Yatra.
- 15% (up to Rs 4,000) off domestic hotel booking on Yatra.
- Rs 200 off on orders worth Rs 999 or more on select products on Ajio.
- 20% off orders above Rs 999 and additional NMS Supercash on Netmeds.
- Flat 10% on select audio products and domestic appliances purchased on Reliance Digital.
In comparison, the company offered only Netmeds, Ixigo, and Ajio benefits last year with 75GB of additional data. For the uninitiated, the Rs 2,999 Jio recharge pack is an annual plan with 365 days of validity. It offers 912.5 GB of total data with a 2.5GB daily high-speed data limit. Additionally, users recharging with this pack enjoy unlimited voice calling and free 100 SMS daily. Users also get access to the Jio suite, including JioTV, JioCinema, and JioCloud.

Below are the steps to help you avail of the Jio Independence Day Offer on the Rs 2,999 recharge plan.
- Open the MyJio app on your smartphone.
- Click on the Recharge tab on the bottom and look for Rs 2,999 plan.
- Enter the Jio number you want to recharge.
- Complete the payment using UPI, net banking, cards, or digital wallet.
- The annual plan will now be activated on the number.
