Reliance Jio is currently offering its feature phone called Jio Phone 2 starting at an EMI option of Rs 141 per month and is part of Jio’s Janmashtami festival offer. The device happens to be priced at Rs 2,999 but can be availed by customers for a down payment of Rs 99. The device will be delivered in three to five days after the payment is made and the EMI option continues for a period of 1 year. On purchase of a SIM for the Jio Phone users will get 14GB of data which is valid for 28 days. You will also get up to 300 SMS and a free subscription of Jio Apps along with free voice calls. The Janmashtami offer is available on Jio’s website and the EMI option can only be availed via a credit card.
Jio Phone 2: Specifications
The Jio Phone 2 has a classic QWERTY keypad on the front while display size remains identical to the original Jio Phone at 2.4-inch. The TFT LCD panel offers a 320 x 240 resolution, something which we can expect on a feature phone.
Under the hood, the Jio Phone 2 is powered by an unnamed dual-core processor clocked at 1 GHz. As far as storage and RAM is concerned, it features 4GB of internal memory and 512MB of RAM, both of which were the same on the Jio Phone. There happens to be a 2MP camera on the back while the front of the device has a 0.3MP VGA sensor.
The device packs in 2,000mAh battery which should provide up to 6 hours of talk time while the standby time is about 150 hours. On the software front, the device runs on KaiOS and runs all of Jio suite of apps which include MyJio, JioMusic, JioTV, JioCinema, JioXpressNews, Voice Assistant, JioVideoCall, JioGames, and more. As far as connectivity options go, the Jio Phone 2 can support dual-SIM 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.1, VoWiFi and more.
