Telecom operators recently increased the prices of their prepaid plans in India. The likes of Vodafone Idea(Vi), Bharti Airtel, and Reliance Jio increased the prices of their 4G prepaid packs by up to 25 percent. The plans, which previously started at or around Rs 75, now are close to Rs 99. For those who require slightly more affordable plans, Reliance has introduced a new value plan for its customers in India. The new Reliance Jio prepaid plan is priced at Re 1. Let’s take a look at the new Reliance Jio 4G prepaid plan that has been released for subscribers in India.
Reliance Jio Re 1 plan
Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio has introduced a new Re 1 plan for its subscribers in India. The pack offers 10MB of 4G data. Jio’s new affordable 4G prepaid plan in India comes with a validity of 1 day. Notably, customers can perform multiple recharges and even queue the pack to automatically activate it once the 10MB data from the initial recharge is exhausted.
To check if the new value pack is available on your Jio prepaid number, go to the Recharge section of the MyJio app. Next, swipe left on the top row and tap on ‘Value’. Following this, tap on Other Plans option.
The plan is Jio’s most affordable daily 4G pack in India at the moment. It might not offer the best of benefits but surely comes in handy when one needs emergency data at an affordable price. The new plan has gone live a few days after the 4G prepaid plans got a nearly 20 percent price hike in India. Customers who wish to make unlimited voice calls and get 2GB of data per month can opt for the Rs 155 plan, which has a validity of 28 days. Those who want 1.5GB of 4G data daily need to now make a recharge of Rs 239, as opposed to the previous tariff of Rs 199. This plan is valid for 28 days. The company stated that the tariff hike will further “ strengthen a sustainable telecom industry.” To check the new Jio 4G plans prices, click here.
