Jio wants to target customers who want a budget laptop without compromising much on the performance for the price they pay. The Jio laptop has now been quietly launched in India.

The new JioBook has been quietly launched and listed on the government e-marketplace, which has revealed its price, specifications, etc. It is priced at Rs 19,500. There is no word on the sale date. The JioBook is a budget notebook. It comes in a single blue colour option. The laptop runs on JioOS, which is likely a forked version of Windows customised for Jio laptops in India. Under the hood, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC. The laptop comes with only 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. Users can expand the storage via a microSD card slot.

There is an 11.6-inch HD display with a 1366 x 768 resolution. Since it is a budget offering, the Jio laptop offers a standard 60Hz refresh rate support. It comes with dual speakers and supports Wi-Fi 802.11ac.
