JioBook has finally arrived in India. Marketed as a revolutionary learning book, the latest launch from Reliance is the most affordable 4G laptop in India. According to Reliance, while the new laptop is intended for students, it is suitable for learners of all ages. Priced under Rs 20,000, the JioBook features all-new JioOS, the JioBIAN coding software, 100GB cloud storage, an octa-core MediaTek processor, etc. Here’s all you need to know about JioBook.
JioBook Price in India, Availability
JioBook will go on sale in India starting August 5. The laptop has been priced at Rs 16,499, which makes it the most affordable Wi-Fi and 4 G-enabled laptop in the country. It can be purchased from Amazon India and Reliance Digital’s online and offline stores. Reliance is offering the laptop in a single colour variant – JioBlue.

JioBook is an aesthetic laptop that weighs just 990 gms and measures 27.3 x 19.0 x 1.65 cms. It’s a lightweight laptop meant to be carried with ease by students. There is an 11.6-inch LED backlight display with a 1,366 x 768 pixels screen resolution. It also has an anti-glare layer for better visibility in bright-lit classrooms and conference rooms.
It features an Infinity Keyboard with over 75 PC-like shortcuts and a large trackpad with gesture controls. In terms of ports, there is a nanoSIM slot, microSD card slot, 3.5mm audio port, two USB 2.0 ports on either side, a mini-HDMI port, dual MEMS mics, and a charging port. Wireless connectivities include dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0. There’s a 2-megapixel HD front camera with an LED indicator for video calls. JioBook also has universal compatibility and can connect with mice, printers, keyboards, and printers seamlessly.
Under the hood of the JioBook is a 2GHz MediaTek MT8788 octa-core processor with ARM Mali G72 MP3 GPU for graphics. The processor is backed by 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB onboard storage. The internal storage can be expanded up to 256GB through a microSD card. The laptop boots JioOS and is powered by a 4,000mAh battery that Reliance claims can last more than 8 hours on a single charge.
JioBook comes with JioBIAN, a Linux-based coding software that supports multiple coding and programming languages like Perl, Python, C, C++, Java, etc. Reliance also offers free one-year QuickHeal Antivirus with JioBook for advanced parental control, online security, and malware protection for safe learning and online activities. Lastly, the company is offering 100GB of cloud storage on Digiboxx to JioBook users.
