JioCinema and Krafton have partnered to broadcast the ongoing Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2023. The BGIS is currently underway, with registrations and in-game qualifiers already done. JioCinema will livestream all the subsequent phases of the tournament for the fans of the game in the country.
Touted to be the biggest eSports tournament in India, the BGIS 2023 has over 2,000 teams competing for the prize pool of Rs 2 crore, where the winning team will take home Rs 75 lakh. Here are all the details of the JioCinema BGIS 2023 live streaming.
BGMI Fans Can Stream Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2023 on JioCinema

As mentioned before, JioCinema has partnered with Krafton to livestream Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2023 in India. Touted to be the biggest eSports tournament in India, the BGIS 2023 is already underway, with online qualifiers set to begin on August 17. Fans of the sports and the tournament can watch and cheer their favourite teams or BGMI players from August 17 till October 10 on JioCinema.
The online qualifiers will be held from August 17 to September 12, followed by quarter-finals from September 16 to September 28. The BGIS 2023 semi-finals will be hosted from September 30 to October 3, and the grand finals from October 7 to October 10.
All of these matches and events can be streamed on JioCinema for free. The leading OTT platform will provide Hindi and English commentary for all matches till the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2023 grand finale. According to the schedule, these matches will be live-streamed from 1 PM to 6 PM on match days.
For the uninitiated, a total of over 2000 teams registered for the BGIS in 2023. Only 64 teams have qualified for the online qualifiers set to start on August 17. From these, 24 teams will move on to the quarter-finals and 16 to the semi-finals.
This is another step from JioCinema to become India’s one-stop digital destination for all sports-related streaming. Viacom-18, the company behind JioCinema, has been bullish on sports and launched a dedicated sports TV channel last year called Sports 18. It went on to bag the digital rights of the two largest sports IPs in the world – FIFA and IPL. The company streamed the entire IPL 2023 to its JioCinema subscribers for free and is currently streaming La Liga 2023-2024 matches for free to its subscribers.
The deal with Krafton is also the first of its kind since the BGMI ban in 2020, making JioCinema the pioneer in eSports streaming by OTT platform. Considering the popularity of the battle royale game and the eSports industry in general, this could be a good move for JioCinema and drive home its position as the number one OTT platform in India.
