And now has been announced that Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire, a 10-part collection of original animated short films, will debut only on Disney+ Hotstar’s platform on July 5th to commemorate Africa Day on May 25th.

Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire, which features tales from authors from Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Uganda, and Zimbabwe, aims to transport viewers to the future of Africa by offering never-before-seen perspectives of the continent. The action-packed animated anthology presents 10 sci-fi and fantasy stories with brave and bold new worlds of sophisticated technology, aliens, spirits, and monsters, drawing on the continent’s rich and diverse histories and civilizations.
The 10 movies are: Hatima (Terence Maluleke and Isaac Mogajane, South Africa), Mukudzei (Pious Nyenyewa and Tafadzwa Hove, Zimbabwe), First Totem Problems (Tshepo Moche, South Africa), Stardust (Ahmed Teilab, Egypt), Mkhuzi: The Spirit Racer (Simangaliso ‘Panda’ Sibaya and Malcolm Wopé, South Africa), You Give Me Heart (Lesego Vorster, South Africa). Herderboy (Raymond Malinga, Uganda), Surf Sangoma (Nthato Mokgata and Catherine Green, South Africa), and Enkai (Ng’endo Mukii, Kenya.)
Peter Ramsey, who co-directed the Oscar-winning Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, along with Tendayi Nyeke and Anthony Silverston from Triggerfish, the principal studio on this anthology, are executive producing Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire.
