Best Gaming Laptops Under Rs 70,000 (April 2025)

Looking for a gaming laptop under Rs 70,000? With so many options available, finding the perfect balance between gaming performance, responsive display, and other aspects can get tricky. For this budget, you want a rig powerful enough to handle competitive esports titles with ease and dabble in a bit of AAA gaming.

So the right laptop needs to have a high refresh rate panel, a capable processor, and a powerful GPU to get the best experience. To help you make the right choice, here’s a list of some of the best gaming laptops under Rs 70,000 that offer the best value for their money.

Note: At this price range, most laptops come with similar hardware, so we’ll focus more on the features that set each one apart.

How Did We Select These Laptops?

When picking the best gaming laptops under Rs 70,000, we focused on delivering the best possible performance for the price. That meant choosing models with H-series processors from either Intel or AMD as these high-powered CPUs can handle both gaming and multitasking. For graphics, we prioritised laptops with at least 6GB VRAM GPUs, like the RTX 4050 and RTX 3050, that have decent TGP (Total Graphics Power) since wattage also impacts performance.

A high refresh rate display (120Hz or above) was also a must, particularly for competitive shooter games, where higher frame rates can significantly impact gameplay. Beyond gaming, a `high refresh rate display also makes usage smoother. Apart from just specs, we also considered upgradeability and design. Laptops with expandable RAM and storage offer better long-term usability.

In terms of design, we picked some models that are sleek and light along with gaming laptops that lean into bold gamer aesthetics as well. In terms of design, we selected a mix of sleek, lightweight models and bold, gaming-centric laptops. This ensures a balance between pure gaming machines and more versatile and portable notebooks.

Colorful P15 (i5-12450H + RTX 4050)

The Colorful P15 is the first on our list and it offers one of the best configurations in this segment. It pairs the Intel Core i5-12450H with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 (6GB VRAM). But what makes this model special is its TGP, which is the power drawn by the GPU. The RTX 4050 on this model has a TGP of over 100W, offering more power and performance to gamers.

It is a full-sized laptop with a hefty 2.4kg weight. But if you can look past this, you’re getting a great gaming system with a capable CPU and GPU combo along with a 15.6-inch IPS LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate, FHD resolution, and 100% sRGB. Both the RAM and storage can also be expanded, although there is only one empty RAM slot and one slot for the SSD.

Infinix GT Book (i5-12450H + RTX 3050)

Unlike the other brands in this list, Infinix isn’t known for its PCs. However, the brand’s first-ever gaming laptop entered the Indian market with a great price-to-performance ratio. For just Rs 53,990, the GT Book is the cheapest gaming laptop in this list but still offers specs that match the competition.

The Infinix GT Book is equipped with the Intel Core i5-12450H and the 6GB Nvidia RTX 3050 which has a max TGP of 80W. This configuration offered capable performance in our Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut test. It could easily handle the next-gen title averaging triple-digit fps on ‘High’ settings with upscaling tech (AMD FSR 3.0) enabled.

Another one of its standout aspects is undoubtedly the design. The entire aesthetic was made around gamers, so you’re getting RGB lighting strips on the back and angular lines on the top lid. Unfortunately, you can’t upgrade the RAM, although the SSD can be replaced for a larger capacity.

Another big miss is the lack of an RJ-45 (ethernet) port, so you’re relying on your WiFi to be strong. This can be a crucial feature to those that face network instability often as it can lead to lags and stutters which are frustrating in competitive games like Valorant.

Lenovo LOQ (i5-13450HX + RTX 3050)

While the graphics card is a key factor when considering a gaming laptop, the CPU is equally as important. This is especially true for competitive esports titles like Valorant or Counter-Strike 2 which are more CPU-reliant. A more powerful chip helps in just smoother performance overall, but more stable and consistent frames during gameplay. This is where the Lenovo LOQ comes in with the Intel Core i5-13450HX, which is one of the fastest chips on this list.

But it does not disappoint on the GPU front either with an Nvidia RTX 3050. With a TGP of 95W, the GPU gets ample power to flex its muscles. There is also a healthy selection of ports, a 144Hz display, and a MUX Switch that enables the laptop to directly use the discrete GPU over the integrated one whenever performance-focused tasks are being used. So when you’re not gaming, the switch can also help save battery as well.

Acer Nitro V (i5-13420H + RTX 4050)

Acer is well-known in the gaming laptop segment and the Nitro V is a great option for around Rs 70,000. It is currently selling at a slightly higher price tag, but it has sold for as low as Rs 63,000 in the recent past. The Nitro V has a solid CPU and GPU combo, pairing the Intel Core i5-13420H with the Nvidia RTX 4050. It also exceeds the other models in this list with the highest refresh rate display of 165Hz.

While you won’t be hitting triple-digit fps in modern AAA games natively, every frame counts in esports titles that are much easier to run. However, it is worth noting that the GPU appears to have a TGP between 65W and 75W. On the positive side, you can add another 16GB RAM stick to bump the RAM to 32GB and even get an empty slot for storage expansion (up to 2TB).

MSI Cyborg 15 (i5-12450H + RTX 3050)

The MSI Cyborg 15 is another gaming laptop that has a bit more going for it in terms of design. Unlike the Infinix GT Book with its RGB lighting, the MSI model has a more sober tone overall. But the translucent sides and bottom panel reveal its gaming DNA. At first glance, the Intel Core i5-12450H and Nvidia RTX 3050 are a decent combo. However, the RTX 3050 on this model is with Max-Q.

This means that it runs at a lower TGP of 45W which does impact gaming performance. But this is by design as Max-Q is Nvidia’s approach to optimise laptops with high performance with thermal efficiency in mind. A typical gaming notebook can easily hit around 90 degrees Celsius (especially in the Indian summer), but this model faces lesser thermal throttling over long gaming hours.

Acer Nitro V 15 (Ryzen 7 7735HS + RTX 3050)

For those who prefer Team Red, Acer has another Nitro gaming laptop with an AMD Ryzen CPU. The Nitro V 15 is powered by the Ryzen 7 7735HS processor, which offers the best multi-core performance in this list on synthetic benchmarks. It can even keep up with the Intel Core i5-13450HX in gaming. This makes it more versatile for other intensive workloads since it offers 2 additional physical cores compared to the 12th or 13th Gen Intel Core i5s.

Another notable aspect of this chipset is the more capable integrated GPU (or iGPU) compared to other Intel processors. For the GPU, you get an Nvidia RTX 3050 that has a respectable TGP of 75W. The laptop is listed online for around Rs 72,000 but it is often sold for under the Rs 70,000 price mark. Some of its other notable features include a 144Hz display, upgradeable RAM (up to 32GB), and an additional SSD storage slot (up to 2TB).

MSI Thin GF63 (i5-12450H + RTX 4050)

For those who need a lightweight and relatively thin gaming laptop, the MSI Thin GF63 has got you covered. Weighing just 1.86kg, it is one of the lightest and most portable laptops on our list. Just like the MSI Cyborg 15, this model also has the Max-Q tech, which lowers the TGP to just 45W. However, it makes more sense here considering its slimmer and lighter profile. MSI designed the Thin GF63 with portability in mind, giving powers to users on the go (be it gaming or other tasks).

Talking about its specs, the laptop features the Intel Core i5-12450H and the Nvidia RTX 4050 GPU. You’re not getting the full power of the RTX 4050 but the performance definitely won’t disappoint.

For some bizarre reason, MSI starts this laptop with just 8GB RAM, which is criminal for a gaming laptop in today’s age. Thankfully the RAM (one additional slot) and storage are upgradeable, and I’d recommend bumping it up to at least 16 gigs since the official 16GB variant is often out of stock. So, make sure you consider that during the budgeting.

Acer ALG (i5-12450H + RTX 3050)

Acer has another model up its sleeves for this budget, which is the Acer ALG. This model arrives with a sleek design with a metallic top lid for a more elegant look. So if you’re not a fan of the RGB and other gaming aesthetics, the ALG might fit your style. Under the hood, it is equipped with the Intel Core i5-12450H and Nvidia RTX 3050 GPU with a 75W to 80W TGP.

Among its notable features are the 144Hz display, expandable storage (up to 2TB), upgradeable RAM (up to 64GB), and 16GB dual channel memory out of the box. This is also one of the best gaming laptops under Rs 65,000 in the Indian market.

Lenovo LOQ 2024 (i5-12450HX + RTX 4050)

The Lenovo LOQ 2024 is an odd refresh over the previous LOQ entry. It gets a downgrade to an Intel Core i5-12450HX but an upgrade to the Nvidia RTX 4050 GPU, which has an impressive 105W TGP. With these specs, you can run most AAA titles that were released up to a year or two ago with ease.

Simply drop the settings to medium or low and turn on DLSS with frame generation for a smoother gameplay experience. Lenovo also packs this model with the Lenovo AI Engine+ and Lenovo LA1 AI Chip that works with the MUX Switch and Nvidia Advanced Optimus for the added bump in performance. If you just want a laptop for purely gaming, this is easily a top-tier option.

Asus Vivobook 16X (i5-12500H + RTX 4050)

The last on the list is a bit of an oddball since it is both a gaming and creator laptop. The Asus Vivobook 16X is the model in question, which features the Intel Core i5-12500H and Nvidia RTX 4050 with a 55W TGP. This helps it strike a balance between performance and efficiency despite its compact form factor.

Despite these hefty specs, the laptop weighs just 1.8kg, making it the lightest laptop on this list. The Vivobook 16X also has a premium look thanks to the metallic top lid. The one major drawback is that both the RAM and SSD can’t be upgraded, so you’ll be stuck with 16GB + 512GB from the get-go.

This is adequate for gaming but might be a limitation for other tasks like 3D rendering or high-res video editing. Keep in mind that you’re missing an ethernet port, so make sure you have a reliable WiFi connection if you plan on gaming.
