Apple has launched the new MacBook Air lineup with the M4 chipsets for the global markets, including India. The new MacBook Air is claimed to deliver up to 18 hours of battery life on a single charge. The Cupertino giant has also unveiled the Mac Studio lineup with the M4 Max and new M3 Ultra chips. The new MacBook Air comes in 13-inch and 15-inch variants, and the pricing starts at Rs 99,900 in the country. They are available in sky blue, midnight, starlight, and silver colour options. The MacBook Air M4 comes in a new Sky Blue shade, which creates a dynamic gradient when light reflects off of its surface. It also comes with a colour-matched MagSafe charge cable. The M4 chip is available in 8-core or 10-core GPU configurations depending on the 13-inch or 15-inch variants. It is claimed to be 2x faster than the M1 model.

The M4 also has a more powerful Neural Engine, which is 3x faster than the MacBook Air with M1 and will deliver up to 18 hours of battery life. It is built for Apple Intelligence, which brings support for Image Playground, Genmoji, Writing Tools, new Siri, and more. The new MacBook Air sports a new 12MP center stage camera with improved video quality.

The 13-inch and 15-inch variants flaunt a Liquid Retina display with 500 nits brightness, up to 1 billion colours, and more. They also support a multi-display setup that includes up to two 6K external displays. The MacBook Air also continues to feature a Touch ID and Magic Keyboard with backlit and a full-height function row.

Apple has also integrated Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 into the device. It also offers a MagSafe charging port, two Thunderbolt ports, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The new Mac Studio is the most powerful Mac ever made with the M4 Max and the new M3 Ultra chips. The M4 Max Mac Studio is designed for video editors, developers, and more for managing intense workflows. The chip has up to 16-core CPU, up to a 40-core GPU, and up to 16 core NPU, which is 3x faster than the M1 Max.

It can run on-device AI models incredibly fast and is 3.5x faster than Mac Studio with M1 Max. Meanwhile, the Mac Studio with the new M3 Ultra chip is for people who demand workflows to a whole new level. The M3 Ultra chip delivers up to 2x faster performance than the Mac Studio with the M4 Max chip.

The chip features up to a 32-core CPU, which includes 24 performance cores, up to an 80-core GPU, and 32-core NPU for on-device AI and machine learning (ML). The new Mac Studio with the M4 Max and M3 Ultra chips features the Thunderbolt 5 ports that offer transfer speeds up to 120 Gb/s, which is 3x faster than the prior generation.

The M3 Ultra supports up to eight Pro Display XDRs at the full 6K resolution. It also offers a 10Gb Ethernet port, an HDMI port, an SDXC card slot, and features built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The Mac Studio is designed together to pair with the Studio Display, which sports a 27-inch 5K Retina display.
