CES 2025: New Dell, Dell Pro, and Dell Pro Max Branding Introduced for PCs

Dell has announced its latest innovations at the ongoing CES 2025. The company has also unveiled changes in its branding categories to make it easier for customers to select between regular, professional, and performance-centric systems. Dell has also showcased two new productivity monitors. Here are the details of all the new Dell products.

Dell’s New Product Categories

Dell has simplified its product lineup across three categories:

  • Dell: These are the base model laptops for school activities and regular usage.
  • Dell Pro: This lineup is designed for professional-grade productivity. It will feature improved thermal management and durability. Remote management and AI features will also be bundled in Dell Pro systems.
  • Dell Pro Max: It is the top-end lineup of Dell’s products designed for maximum performance.

Dell New Branding

Dell mentions this new categorization will make it easier for customers to select a laptop or pre-built computer based on their needs. The same nomenclature will soon be extended for displays, accessories, and other digital services.

Dell’s New AI PCs

Under the new brand categories, Dell has unveiled three new laptop and desktop lineups:

Dell Pro Laptops and Desktops

The Dell Pro laptops and desktops will be available in multiple variants. These will be equipped with the Intel Core (Series 2, V and U), AMD Ryzen, and Qualcomm Snapdragon X processors, depending on the variant. These laptops introduce a performance boost of 36% in multi-thread, 19% in single-thread, 82% in graphics rendering, and 3.5 times faster AI performance.

Dell Pro laptops

The Dell Pro 13/14 Premium laptops are CoPilot+ PCs. These are the slimmest and lightest laptops in the new lineup. Dell claims a battery life of up to 21.2 hours on these machines. They also have a dual-fan cooling system. The Dell Pro 14 Premium is the first commercial notebook with a Tandem OLED display which consumes 24% less power.

The Dell Pro 13/14/16 Plus are business-grade laptops. These are certified with MIL-STD ratings for military-grade durability. They will also offer Wi-Fi 7 and optional 5G connectivity.

The Dell Pro 14/16 are the base models in the Pro lineup. They share the same processors as the top-end models and feature displays that consume less power. These laptops are designed for extended battery life.

The Dell Pro Desktops will be available in micro, slim, and tower form factors. These will be available with Intel Core (Series 2 and U) and AMD Ryzen processors.

Dell Pro Max Laptops and Desktops

The Dell Pro Max range of laptops and desktops offers the highest performance. They feature a new patented thermal design for efficient cooling. These machines will be available with the Intel Core (Series 2 and U), AMD Ryzen, and AMD Threadripper processors. All variants will be compatible with running large language models (LLMs) locally on the system for AI development.

Dell Pro Max laptops

The Dell Pro Max 14/16 laptops are designed for peak performance with a portable design. They come with 16:10 displays with resolutions of up to QHD+. GPU options will be available for up to Nvidia RTX 2000 Ada Generation.

The Dell Pro Max Desktops will be available in micro, slim, and tower form factors. They will feature both Nvidia RTX and AMD Graphics for GPUs. These systems will support industry applications like architecture, design and graphical data analysis, and AI workloads.

Dell Laptops

The Dell-only lineup will be available with Intel Core Ultra (Series 2 and V) processors. These laptops are designed for a balance between versatility and productivity. The new range of Dell Plus laptops are CoPilot+ PCs. This includes the Dell Plus 14, Dell Plus 14 2-in-1, Dell Plus 16, and the Dell Plus 16 2-in-1.

Dell says these laptops will be expanded with AMD and Snapdragon X processors, in addition to Intel.

New Dell Monitors

Dell has also announced two new productivity monitors. These are available in IPS LCD and OLED panels with a 4K resolution. They also feature a new metal-based stand that supports height adjustment, tilt, rotation, and other features. They also support a wall mount and a standard VESA mount.

Some models also provide space to mount your smartphone over the stand. However, the charging will only happen over wired connections as wireless charging is not supported.

Dell UltraSharp 32 and 27 4K Thunderbolt Hub Monitors

The Dell UltraSharp 32 and 27 are 4K monitors with enhanced IPS Black technology having a 3000:1 contrast ratio. Both screen size variants have a 120Hz refresh rate.

The monitors are also certified with a TUV Rheinland Eye Comfort 3.0 rating. They emit less amount of blue light reducing eye strain. The displays come with a low reflectance panel that reduces screen glare. They also feature an ambient light sensor for automatic brightness adjustment.

Dell UltraSharp 32 4K Thunderbolt Hub Monitor

Connectivity options on the Dell UltraSharp 32 and 27 monitors include Thunderbolt 4, USB-A, RJ45, 140W USB-C power delivery, and 15W USB-C charging. They also support multi-monitor setups on both Windows and macOS.

The Dell UltraSharp 32 is priced at $949.99 (approx Rs 81,300) and the UltraSharp 27 is priced at $699.99 (approx Rs 59,900). It will be available in global markets starting February 25, 2025.

Dell 32 Plus 4K QD-OLED Monitor

The Dell 32 Plus monitor features a QD-OLED panel with a 4K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It is compatible with AMD FreeSync, Dolby Vision, and VESA Display True Black 400. Dell says this panel offers the highest colour accuracy to help creative professionals.

Dell Plus 32 4K QD-OLED Monitor

The monitor is designed to offer Hyper-Realistic Audio with 3D Soundscape technology powered by AI. It tracks the movements of your head to adjust the sound output. Connectivity options include USB-C with 90W power delivery.

The Dell 32 Plus 4K QD-OLED monitor is priced at $799.99 (approx Rs 68,500) and will be available globally from May 22, 2025.

The new Dell laptops, monitors, and other products will first debut in the United States and other markets. The Indian availability is expected within the first two weeks of the global release. However, the company has not revealed the exact Indian pricing details.

The new Dell branding comes into effect right away. All new laptops from the company will follow the new Dell, Dell Pro, and Dell Pro Max nomenclature instead of the Inspiron, Latitude, and other series.
