  • The feature is currently available on select motherboard variants with AORUS AI Snatch.

As AMD is gearing up to launch the Ryzen 9000X3D Series CPUs, Gigabyte has unveiled a new X3D Turbo mode for its motherboards. It can boost gaming performance by up to 18% on both X3D and non-X3D processors. The feature is available in the latest BIOS update of compatible Gigabyte motherboards. Here are the details.

Gigabyte X3D Turbo Mode for Ryzen 9000X3D CPUs

The X3D Turbo Mode is integrated with the AMD AGESA 1.2.0.2a software utility, which helps a system extract the maximum performance from the CPU. The new mode is available with the latest beta BIOS update of Gigabyte motherboards with AORUS AI Snatch.

After updating the BIOS, gamers can enable the X3D Turbo mode from the BIOS settings and enjoy an instant performance boost of up to 18% on their computer. The feature is compatible with the upcoming AMD Ryzen 9000X3D Series CPUs, and existing Ryzen 9000 non-X3D CPUs.

Gigabyte says this new mode provides enough optimization that non-X3D CPUs can perform just as well as their X3D variants in AMD Ryzen. However, the company says that the actual performance boost also depends on factors such as DRAM, storage type, and other components of the computer.

Gamers can download the beta BIOS update from the official Gigabyte website for free. However, the company has not provided any details on the availability of the X3D Turbo mode in the stable versions of BIOS.

The AMD Ryzen 9000X3D processors are set to launch globally tomorrow, i.e. November 7. The top-end models are expected to feature up to 16 cores. Since these will be X3D variants, the new CPUs are also expected to introduce a direct performance boost in multi-threaded operations. We will keep you updated with the official launch, so stay tuned.
