Google Pixel’s lineup will soon expand to include laptops. The Mountain View giant is reportedly working on a new high-end laptop, codenamed Snowy intending to target the premium laptop market. Here’s everything you need to know about the rumoured Pixel laptop.
Google Pixel Laptop with Android in the Works
According to the Android Headlines report, the publication has gained access to an internal email confirming that the Google Pixel laptop has moved beyond the concept phase. The company has already started developing the device and has a dedicated team working on it.
In the mail, the Google Pixel laptop is being compared to Apple’s MacBook Pro, Dell’s XPS line, the Microsoft Surface Laptop, and the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook. This means we can expect the upcoming Pixel laptop to offer a premium design and flagship specifications, including the top-of-the-line Intel core processor.
However, it was not clear whether the laptop would run Chrome OS or Windows. However, another recent report reveals that Google is working on developing a unified software experience across its range of devices. The company will likely merge ChromeOS into Android, and the unified software will be used in the Pixel laptop.
To recall, Google launched the first Chromebook Pixel in 2013 and discontinued the lineup in 2017. The company then launched the PixelBook Go in 2019, but that was the last laptop the company launched.
Since we lack concrete details as of now, it would be best to wait for an official word. So, stay tuned for further updates.
