Intel has launched its x86 processor family in India. It includes the Intel Core Ultra 200V series, code-named Lunar Lake. According to the company, the computers powered by these processors will deliver exceptional performance and unparalleled AI computing power. Here are the details.

Intel Core Ultra 200V Series: Availability

According to the company, devices featuring these advanced processors will be available for pre-order on popular retail platforms such as Amazon, Croma, Flipkart, Reliance Digital, and Vijay Sales, starting September 12, 2024. General availability to begin on September 24.

Intel Core Ultra 200V Series: Key Features

The latest processors from Intel are based on the Xe2 graphics architecture. According to the company, this new architecture provides a 30% average improvement in mobile graphics performance. The processors feature the integrated Intel Arc GPU, which includes up to eight 2nd Gen Xe-cores, eight ray tracing units, and support for up to three 4K monitors.

Additionally, the processors are said to enhance gaming and creative applications through Intel’s Xe Matrix Extensions (XMX) AI engines, offering up to 67 TOPS.

The Intel Core Ultra 200V series is also designed to deliver exceptional overall performance, improved power efficiency, and advanced security features. It is claimed to offer seamless application compatibility and bring significant advancements in AI computing power. Devices equipped with these processors and running Windows will reportedly be eligible for a free update to Copilot+ PC features, available from November.

Intel has partnered with leading independent software vendors (ISVs) to create a strong ecosystem around these processors. According to the company, over 500 optimized AI models have been integrated, enabling users to leverage AI technology more effectively with the Intel Core Ultra processors.
