Western Digital has launched two new desktop SSDs under its SanDisk lineup. The new SSDs are available in 4TB and 8TB capacities. They support read speeds up to 1000Mbps and feature a portable design, making them easy to carry. Here are the details of the new WD SanDisk Desktop SSDs.

The WD SanDisk 4TB SSD is priced at Rs 39,999, and the SanDisk 8TB SSD is priced at Rs 72,999 in India. They will be available for purchase on the WD online store and other leading retailers across India starting July 11.

Western Digital SanDisk Desktop SSDs: Features
The WD SanDisk Desktop SSDs are designed to handle large collections of photos, videos, CAD files, renders, and other big data files. It can handle both large individual files and smaller files with ease at a consistent speed. Both 4TB and 8TB variants support read speeds of up to 1000Mbps.
The new WD SanDisk SSDs can also be used to create backups on macOS using the Apple Time Machine. Users can also utilise the Acronis True Image software for backups, which is included with the WD SSD.
They are compatible with both Windows and macOS systems out of the box with their exFAT formatting. The SSDs use a USB-C cable to connect to your system.
The SSDs are lightweight and easy to carry. For their compact size and portability, the WD SanDisk Desktop SSDs were also recognised with the 2024 Red Dot Design Award.
The WD SanDisk 4TB and 8TB Desktop SSDs feature a 3-year warranty. During the official launch event, the company also mentioned that WD plans to launch a 16TB SSD next year, making it one of the largest portable desktop SSDs in the market.
