Lava Agni 2 5G to Sport 50MP Camera: Here Are Other Key Specifications

The Lava Agni 2 will launch as a new mid-range 5G smartphone in India. The company will likely launch the Agni 2 5G in May in India. Ahead of the official announcement, an India Today report claims that the phone will launch around mid-May. However, the exact launch date of the device remains unknown.

According to the report, the Agni 2 will feature a quad-camera setup on the back. The green-coloured curved rear panel has a huge circular camera module. It will house a 50MP primary camera sensor. The LED flash also sits inside the circular camera module.

The Agni 2 is tipped to feature a “double-reinforced premium glass back design.” It is also confirmed to feature a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC under the hood. The chipset is the same as the Dimensity 1080 SoC found in the Realme 10 Pro+ 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G and the upcoming Realme 11 Pro+ 5G. In comparison, the Agni 5G came with a Dimensity 810 SoC. Therefore, the Agni 2 5G is set to get some performance boost under the hood.

The report also revealed that the Agni 2 will sport a curved AMOLED display. Lava has been teasing the premium display feature on its social media accounts. Therefore, it looks like the Agni 2 will come with a curved screen. In addition, there will also be support for a 120Hz refresh rate, which, again, is an upgrade over the Agni 5G’s 90Hz IPS LCD.

At the moment, other details about the phone, such as its battery capacity, charging tech, front camera sensor details, etc., are under wraps. However, the phone was spotted on Geekbench with 8GB of RAM. It will run Android 13 out of the box.
