Indian smartphone company Lava Mobiles has quietly unveiled a new device in India. The company has announced the Blaze 1X 5G as its new budget smartphone offering in the country. The Lava Blaze 1X 5G sits above the Blaze 5G, which was launched last year. The new Lava smartphone comes with some key upgrades under the hood. It continues to sport a premium glass back panel, despite being a budget offering.

The Blaze 1X 5G has a flat frame and rear panel. It is available with a single RAM and storage option. Let’s take a look at the Lava Blaze 1X 5G specifications, features and other details known so far.

Lava Blaze 1X 5G Price in India and Specifications

Lava has confirmed that the Blaze 1X 5G will be available for purchase in India with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The phone’s pricing, however, is under wraps. Lava revealed that its new Blaze series 5G smartphone will be available in two colour options — Glass Green and Glass Blue.

In terms of specifications, the new Lava smartphone has a 6.5-inch IPS LCD with an HD+ resolution of 1600 × 720 pixels. The 2.5D display has support for a 90Hz refresh rate as well. It sports a waterdrop notch at the top for the front camera. While the rest of the bezels are fairly narrow, the chin bezel is quite thick in comparison. The device is said to come with a WideVine L1 certification.

The phone has a triple-camera setup on the back. There will be a 50MP main camera sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. The phone will also feature a 2MP macro sensor and a VGA camera with an LED flash. For selfies, the Blaze 1X 5G will feature an 8MP front camera sensor.

Under the hood, the budget smartphone will feature a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC, which is an octa-core chipset based on a 7nm process. The fairly old SoC is paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The Blaze 1X 5G will have up to 5GB of virtual RAM support and expandable memory of up to 1TB via a microSD card. The phone will have a hybrid SIM slot.

In terms of software, the Blaze 1X 5G will feature Android 12 out of the box, which is sort of disappointing as Android 13 has been around for months. There will be a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The phone will also launch with support for multiple 5G bands in India — n1/n3/n5/n8/n28/n41/n77/n78.

The Blaze 1X 5G will pack a beefy 5000mAh battery. It will offer 15W fast charging support. However, users can expect to get a 12W charger in the box. The device will feature support for dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, etc. It will come with a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Blaze 1X 5G will weigh about 207 grams and measure 165.3 × 76.4 × 8.9mm. It is expected to be priced at around Rs 12,000 for the sole 6GB RAM variant.
