Lava has officially launched the new Blaze series smartphone, the Lava Blaze 2 in India today. Speaking about the specifications, this new handset from Lava boasts a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display that has a HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The device features a dual-camera setup at the back, a premium glass back design, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It packs a 5,000mAh battery which offers 18W fast charging support. The Lava Blaze 2 will be available at a special price of Rs 8,999. The device comes in Glass Black, Glass Blue, and Glass Orange colour options. The handset will go on sale in India via Amazon starting on April 18 at 12 PM.

The Lava Blaze 2 features a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The display panel has a 269 PPI pixel density and a punch-hole cutout at the center which houses the selfie camera. Powering the smartphone under the hood there is an octa-core Unisoc T616 processor. Lava claims that the Blaze 2 offers the highest AnTuTu benchmark score of 255,298. Furthermore, the smartphone packs 6GB of RAM, 128GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage, and it also has a 5GB Virtual RAM support. The device also has a microSD card support through which users can expand storage up to 1TB.

On the software front, the smartphone runs Android 12 OS. The device will get Android 13 update and two years of security updates, as per details shared by Lava. When it comes to imaging, the device features a dual-camera setup. The camera module consists of a 13MP main camera and it offers various photography mode such as as night, AI, Pro, portrait, beauty, slow motion, audio note, timelapse, filters, HDR, and panorama. The 13MP primary lens is accompanied by a 2MP sensor. For selfies and video-calling purpose, the handset relies on an 8MP camera.

The Lava Blaze 2 packs a 5,000mAh battery which offers 18W fast charging support. The device has a 3.5mm audio jack, a USB Type-C port, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5.0, and 4G support. As for the security purpose, the phone also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor embedded in a power button and a face unlock support.
