Lava will offer home replacement of smartphones with hardware issues. The benefit can be availed by the customers anytime during the warranty period. The news has been shared by Lava International Limited’s President and Business Head, Sunila Raina on his Twitter account. Notably, Lava launched its latest smartphone, and Agni 5G‘s successor, Agni 2 5G in India recently. The smartphone is priced at Rs 21,999 and will go on Sale on Amazon India starting May 24 at 10 am. The phone will be available at a special price of Rs 19,999 for a limited duration.

Sunil Raina, President and Business Head of Lava Mobiles took to Twitter to share the announcement and various USPs of the new launch. One of the USPs listed was Free Phone Replacement. A Twitter user commented asking Sinha what exactly is free phone replacement.

To this, the top honcho replied that users who receive faulty smartphones with hardware issues will get a free phone replacement at their doorstep within the warranty period, which is a segment first. The company is offering one year of warranty with the device.

This means users won’t have to visit the service center to get their phones repaired but get a brand-new replacement instead. To another user’s query, Sinha clarified that the benefit is only applicable to Lava Agni 2 and not to all Lava mobiles.

Lava is also offering any faulty hardware to be replaced and not repaired for a duration of three years from the date of purchase. Additionally, Lava users can enjoy free home service of their smartphones.

Lava Agni 2 5G Specifications and Features

The Lava Agni 2 5G is the most affordable smartphone in India with a 3D dual curved AMOLED panel and the first to feature MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset. The 6.78-inch screen comes with FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 1.07 billion colour depth, HDR, HDR 10 and HDR 10+, and Widevine L1. The processor is backed by 8GB of RAM, 8GB virtual RAM, and 256GB of storage. Out of the box, the handset boots the Android 13 operating system with assured two years of Android updates and three years of security patches.

In the optics department, the Lava Agni 2 5G flaunts a 50MP (1.0µm pixel size) quad camera setup with an 8MP ultra-wide camera and two 2MP sensors on the back. There’s a 16MP selfie camera on the front. Lava has equipped the camera app with features like Beauty, HDR, Night, Portrait, Macro, AI, Pro, UHD, Panorama, Slow Motion, Filters, GIF, Timelapse, and Intelligent Scanning. The phone can also record up to 4K videos at 30fps.

Other features of the smartphone include a 4,700mAh battery with 66W fast charging support, face unlock, an in-display fingerprint scanner, no bloatware, 13 5G bands, and more. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, USB Type-C port, OTG, Beidou, GLONASS, QZSS, and Galileo.
