After a TENAA leak showed that the Lenovo K5X will come soon, there is another leak exposing the phone’s specifications. The previous leak had confirmed the existence of the handset, with model number L38041. Today’s leak adds details to provide a better picture of what we can expect from this handset. What is certain is that the phone is being offered for the mid-range price segment, with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset powering it.

The consumer technology website 91Mobiles reported that the phone will come with 6GB of RAM, and will boot Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. There is a leaked image as well, and that means we know how the phone will look like, but the back of the handset is not yet bared. The Lenovo K5X has a conventional 18:9 display with full bezels, so it will appeal to those who are not fond of the notch display trend.

Lenovo K5X To Offer 6GB Of RAM With Three Storage Options

Leaks have now confirmed that the upcoming Lenovo K5X handset will come with a 6GB RAM and three internal storage options. There will be a 32GB storage variant, a 64GB storage variant, and a top-specced 128GB storage variant. There will be a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor on the handset, and it is likely to offer 2D Face Unlock feature as well.

It is not clear whether a speculated ‘zero touch support’ feature is in reference to the Face Unlock, but that is quite possibly the case. As mentioned above, the device will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 octa-core chipset paired to Adreno 509 GPU. The screen size is still a secret, but it will have a Full HD+ resolution. An interesting aspect is that the top bezel reveals the presence of a dual-camera at the front, so that might just be the USP of this mid-range model.

The rest of the phone’s specifications are still well hidden, but it is likely that there will be more leaks, since there is a good amount of anticipation around this phone. Lenovo recently launched the K5s and K5 Pro in China, and it won’t be a surprise if the K5X borrows some bits from both of them.

Is Lenovo K5X Based On Lenovo K5 Pro?

More than the Lenovo K5s, the upcoming Lenovo K5X seems to be sharing its specifications with the Lenovo K5 Pro. The K5 Pro was launched in China last month, and it looks rather similar from the front. The handset sports a dual-camera at the front with full bezels and a Full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It has a 16MP+5MP dual-camera both at the front and the rear.

The Lenovo K5 Pro also is powered by Snapdragon 636 and flaunts a 6GB of RAM. The fingerprint sensor on the K5 Pro is also rear-mounted, and it has a large 4050mAh battery. The Lenovo K5 Pro gets 18W fast charging, and we hope that the Lenovo K5X does not miss out on this essential feature. Also, the Lenovo K5 Pro boots Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box, so not much is different between these two phones. We shall report the updates about the Lenovo K5X, so stay tuned with us.
