For quite a while now, the Lenovo Legion gaming-centric smartphone has been making the rounds on the internet. A little while ago, we came across a report suggesting that the Lenovo Legion Gaming Phone will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 5G flagship mobile platform and will have support for up to a staggering 90W of fast charging. The company made the news official courtesy of a promotional poster it posted on its official Weibo handle. While some of the specifications and features of the Lenovo Legion Gaming Phone have already been revealed, we knew little about what the device would look like. Well, it turns out that we now have a working clue as to what the Lenovo Legion Gaming Phone looks like. Take a look at the newly leaked images of the Lenovo Legion Gaming Phone and find out what it has in store for us.
Lenovo Legion Gaming Phone Leaked Images Showcase its Design
The leaked images have been reported exclusively by XDA Developers. As seen in the images, the Lenovo Legion Gaming Phone will feature a rather unique design, which is reminiscent of the traditional gaming smartphones available on the market. Let’s begin with the rear of the device – there’s a Lenovo Legion logo right in the middle of the device. Accompanying the logo is an LED flash and a dual rear camera setup. If we hold the phone horizontally, it appears to have an X-shaped array, which goes all the way to its edges.
The Lenovo Legion Gaming Phone will feature a pop-up selfie camera. What’s new with that, you ask? Well, the pop-up selfie camera won’t be on the top of the device. It will instead find its way through the middle of the right side of the device. The pop-up camera module is marked with a Lenovo Legion logo. Clearly, the brand has designed the Lenovo Legion Gaming Phone to be held horizontally, since most of the games are played in this orientation.
Moving on, the Lenovo Legion Gaming Phone appears to have two USB Type-C charging ports – one on the side, which will come in handy while gaming, and one on the bottom of the device. The device will also boast two speakers for stereo sound at the top and the bottom portion.
Coming to the camera of the device, the Lenovo Legion Gaming Phone will feature a 64MP primary camera and a 16MP ultrawide lens at the back. In the front, the device will make room for a 20MP selfie snapper.
As far as the rest of the specifications go, the Lenovo Legion Gaming Phone is claimed to feature a UFS3.0 storage and an LPDDR5 RAM. The device will have a screen refresh rate of 144Hz and a touch sampling rate of 270Hz. Powering the device will be an octa-core Snapdragon 865 chipset, as mentioned earlier. On the software side of things, the Lenovo Legion Gaming Phone will likely run on the latest Android 10 OS out of the box with the company’s proprietary ZUI 12 skin baked on top of it. That being said, the source suggests that Lenovo might market it as Legion OS, as it will come with a lot of gaming-centric customizations.
