
The Lenovo Tab P12 Pro tablet was launched globally back in 2021. Now, the flagship Android tablet has been launched in India to take on the Apple iPad lineup and Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series. The Lenovo Tab P12 Pro has been priced under Rs 70,000 in India, just undercutting the base model of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8.
The Lenovo Tab P12 Pro is also one of the few devices that are eligible for Android 12L. Android 12L was announced by Google last year Android Dev Summit 2021. This version is specifically built for large screen devices and is foldable. The device comes with an AMOLED screen, Snapdragon SoC, and a large battery unit.

Starting off with the visuals, the Lenovo Tab P12 Pro sports a 12.6-inch AMOLED display with a WQXGA resolution (2560 x 1600 pixels). It has a peak brightness of 400 nits, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, 107% NTSC colour space, HDR 10+, and Dolby Vision support. The Tab P12 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 870 SoC with a clock speed of up to 3.2GHz. It is coupled with Adreno 650 GPU. The tablet comes with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1. There is also an option to expand the storage by up to 1TB.
In the camera department, the Tab P12 Pro sports an 8MP camera on the front along with the ToF sensor and on the rear, there is a 13MP+5MP snapper. The device is fitted with a 10,200mAh battery unit with support for 30W fast charging speed. The tablet also comes with support for Lenovo Precision Pen 3.
In terms of software, the device runs on Android 11 out of the box and this is also currently eligible for Android 12L and Android 13 Developer Preview. Other features include dual mics, quad-speaker setup, Dolby Atmos, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 5.63 thickness, and 565-gram weight. The tablet also comes with an optional keyboard with a four-point pogo pin connector.

For Rs 1,000 more, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 offers a better flagship processor, faster-charging speed (not included in the box), and arguably better software experience compared to Lenovo. On the Lenovo hand, Lenovo brings a larger battery, AMOLED display, more storage, and a more sleek design compared to the Tab S8.
