After several leaks and teasers, Lenovo has finally launched the new Lenovo Z5s smartphone. The phone was announced during an event in China, where the company also unveiled the Lenovo S5 Pro GT and the flagship Lenovo Z5 Pro 855, which comes with the Snapdragon 855 chipset. The Lenovo Z5s is a mid-range smartphone and is also available in a Zhu Yilong Custom edition. We expected Lenovo to unveil a Ferrari SuperFast Edition as well, but that leak turned out to be fake. However, the Z5 Pro 855 comes with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, so the leak was right about the RAM. Read on to know all about the new Lenovo Z5s smartphone.

Now, let’s talk about the specifications and features of the new Lenovo Z5s. While we did know most of the specifications, thanks to all the leaks and teasers, some of it was unknown. All of that has been revealed today and the Z5s seems to be a worthy mid-range smartphone.

It features a 6.3-inch LCD display with an FHD+ resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a waterdrop notch. The teasers depicted that the phone would feature a punch-hole camera, but that’s not the case. The phone is made out of glass and aluminum with Gorilla Glass protection on the front. Lenovo claims a screen-to-body ratio of 92.6 percent, which is quite impressive. The device also includes a nano-scale P2i waterproofing, similar to Motorola phones.

Internally, the Z5s is powered by the latest Snapdragon 710 AIE chipset, which is coupled with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. A microSD card slot is available for memory expansion. The phone has a triple-rear camera setup with a primary 16MP sensor, an 8MP telephoto lens and another 5MP depth sensor. On the front, the phone is equipped with a 16MP wide-angle sensor for selfies. Both front and rear cameras support up to 2X lossless zoom.

The phone features a Game Turbo acceleration engine for improved performance while gaming. It also features two-channel stereo sound, a high-precision gyroscope, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. A 3300mAh battery powers the device. The device comes with the latest ZUI software based on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box.
