Lenovo is about to launch an interesting Android smartphone today on December 18. The Lenovo Z5s has successfully eluded exposure of its critical details, save for a few important ones. The Chinese company that specializes in smartphones, laptops, tablets and other electronics will launch the Lenovo Z5s in China today.

Lenovo has been sending some cryptic teasers about a smartphone that would launch today. The company has hinted it would launch the Lenovo Z5s. There have been plenty of intriguing leaks and rumors regarding this Android phone so far. Just yesterday, the handset appeared on Geekbench. The test device codenamed Lenovo L78071 was running Android 9 Pie. It’s been established that the codename belongs to the Z5s. In other words, Lenovo will most likely be launching the Lenovo Z5s with the latest version of the Google’s smartphone operating system.

Lenovo Z5s Launch Time, Live Streaming Details


Lenovo will be launching the Lenovo Z5s today in China at an event that starts at 12PM IST. The Lenovo Z5s has had an interesting journey shrouded in mystery. The test device that appeared on Geekbench, appeared to be running on Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor, and packed 6GB of RAM. Interestingly, alongside the standard variant, a Zhu Yi Long Special Edition of Lenovo Z5s will also be announced at the same time. If that’s not enough, a new leak recently suggested that there will be a third variant of the Z5s called the Lenovo Z5s Ferrari SuperFast Edition. This special edition of the Z5s would be a powerhouse, and include more than 10GB of RAM. The Lenovo Z5s Ferrari SuperFast could have a whopping 12GB of RAM.

Lenovo Z5s Expected Specifications, Features

The Lenovo Z5s was recently spotted on the TENAA website, revealing some of its key specifications and design highlights. The Android smartphone will feature a nearly bezel-less 6.3-inch Full HD+ display with a small circular cutout for the front-facing camera.

As confirmed by the Geekbench listing, the Lenovo smartphone will have Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor. The Snapdragon 710 processor has performance cores that can go up to 2.2GHz. The processor will work with 6GB RAM. The handset could launch in multiple memory configurations.

According to the latest reports about the Lenovo Z5s, the device appears to be a capable and premium-looking, upper-mid range Android smartphone with triple-camera setup on the back. A 3210mAh capacity non-removable battery with Quick Charge support could run the Lenovo smartphone. Although, the Geekbench listing indicates Android 9 Pie, we are confident Lenovo will embed its own custom skin called the ZenUI atop Android OS.

Ahead of the launch of the Lenovo Z5s, the company posted some teaser images that show the color variants of the phone. The teasers reveal that the device will be available in three color options with gradient finish: Coral Orange, Quite Blue and Starry Night.
