Lenovo’s upcoming flagship grade smartphone, the Lenovo Z6 Pro has been in the news for quite some time now. While we have been hearing about this new device for a while now, people were still in the dar as far as the overall specifications of this handset were concerned. With just one day left for the official launch of the Z6 Pro in China, almost all the important specifications of the device were posted on Weibo by none other than by the Vice President of the Lenovo Group in China. Let us delve deeper into the specifications of the handset now.

Lenovo Z6 Pro: Specifications, Features

As stated earlier in this article, the Lenovo Z6 Pro is a flagship-grade device from the Chinese brand. The handset comes powered by the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset. The Weibo post also claims that the SD855 chipset used on the Z6 Pro is a ‘special’ variant which we assume is Lenovo’s interpretation of speed-binned chipsets. The top version of the  Lenovo Z6 Pro will come with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. While the post does not specifically talk about the display size of the handset, being a flagship-class device, we can expect the Lenovo Z6 Pro to feature an AMOLED panel. One listing on TMall does say that the panel measures 6.39-inches across. Unsurprisingly, the phone also features an in-display fingerprint scanner. Lenovo claims that this is a sixth generation scanner that should at least on paper be faster than older in-display fingerprint sensors.

The Lenovo Z6 Pro also claims to be among the best cameraphones in its class with a quad camera setup at the rear. While we are yet to completely discern the finer details of the camera setup, we do know that the primary camera on the device uses a 48-megapixel sensor. Apart from this sensor, the phone also features three other cameras with resolutions of 16-megapixels, 8-megapixels, and 2-megapixels. The camera also claims several AI features. The primary camera claims to be able to output 100-megapixel images using software extrapolation. It would be interesting to see how good this feature turns out to be.

The promotional videos and images of the Z6 Pro also talk about a feature known as ‘HyperVideo’ the details of which we should get to know by tomorrow. The front camera on the device is a potent 32-megapixel camera that should take great selfies and add some oomph to your video calling experience.

Lenovo Z6 Pro: Other features, Software, Expected price

The Lenovo Z6 Pro also a Dolby certified device and claims to use a four-dimensional speaker system. This essentially means that the handset supports Dolby Panoramic Sound. The Z6 Pro will also get a large 4000mAh battery.

The handset also boasts of a liquid cooling system which is market-speak for a heat pipe with a small amount of liquid coolant inside. On the software side of things, the handset will run Lenovo’s own ZUI 11 atop an Android 9 Pie core. We also expect the Z6 Pro to be updated to subsequent versions of Android in the future.

Lenovo is yet to announce the official price of the Z6 Pro in China. However, on many websites, in China, it is listed at an expensive RMB 9,999 which translates to just over INR 100,000. We will stop short of announcing this as the official price, though, and wait for the launch of the Z6 Pro tomorrow.
