The Lenovo Z6 is an upper mid-range smartphone that the phone maker has been teasing for quite a while now. Powering the smartphone is the recently launched Snapdragon 730 chipset, and this is one of the more reasonably priced handsets to feature an in-display fingerprint reader. Lenovo has finally launched the smartphone today at an event in China and has positioned it between the Lenovo Z6 Pro and Lenovo Z6 Youth Edition.

Lenovo Z6 Specifications, Features
The Lenovo Z6 has an appealing modern aesthetic with its dew-drop style notched display and subtly gradient rear panel design. For the display, the Z6 is making use of an OLED panel that measures 6.39-inches and achieves a 93.1 percent screen to body ratio. This is a fully loaded screen that bears a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels, gets an HDR 10 certification, can reach a peak brightness of 600 nits, supports a sampling rate of 120Hz along with full coverage of the DCI-P3 and sRGB color spaces, and features De-Mura screen coloring technology. Underneath the screen is an embedded optical fingerprint sensor, and above it is a layer of Corning’s Gorilla Glass.
Under the hood, the Z6 runs on the Snapdragon 730 Chipset that consists of a quad-core CPU with two Kryo 470 performance cores that clock up to 2.2GHz and six Kryo 270 efficiency cores that clock up to 1.8GHz. The GPU here is an Adreno 618. This chipset has been paired with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of storage. Further storage expansion is possible via a hybrid dual-SIM tray. For software, the phone ships with ZUI 11 that is based on Android 9 Pie.
Imaging on the Lenovo Z6 is handled by three rear cameras and a single front-facing shooter. At the back, you get a 24MP Sony IMX576 primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP 2x optical zoom lens with an f/2.4 aperture, and a 5MP depth sensor with an f/2.2 aperture. This phone does support 4K video recording, and we suspect this is capped at 30 fps. Moving on to the front, we get a 16MP selfie shooter.
The battery on the Z6 measures 4000mAh. This cell supports 18W fast charging over a USB Type-C port. You most certainly get a 3.5mm headphone jack here along with Dolby Atmos enhancements. The rest of the connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi, 2×2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5.0, aptX HD, A-GPS, and LDAC. For now, only a Blue color variant seems to be up for sale. The device measures 157mm x 74.5mm x 7.97mm, and weighs in at roughly 159g.
