Lenovo Z6 with Snapdragon 730, Sony IMX576 Sensor Confirmed to Launch in China on July 4

Lenovo teased the launch of a new smartphone part of its Z6 lineup a few days ago. The smartphone will be called the Lenovo 6Z and is expected to be positioned right between the Lenovo Z6 Pro and Lenovo Z6 Youth Edition. In a recent post over on Weibo, Lenovo Group Vice President Chang Cheng announced the launch date for the smartphone along with its full specifications.

According to the post, the Lenovo Z6 will be launching in China on July 4, 2019, at an event that will take place at 11:30 AM. Here are all the confirmed specifications of the phone

The Chinese tech giant confirmed that the upcoming Lenovo Z6 will be powered a Snapdragon 730 chipset that is built on the 8nm process and features an octa-core CPU with Kryo 470 cores that clock as high as 2.2 GHz with an Adreno 618 GPU. While the exact memory capacities haven’t been announced, we do expect the phone to feature variant with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. Lenovo did confirm that the phone will feature a Game Turbo feature that should help with frame rates in games such as PUBG.

For the display, the Lenovo Z6 will make use of a 6.39-inch OLED panel that covers 93.1 percent of the front of the phone. It has done so with the help of extremely thin bezels paired with a waterdrop style notch up top. This an HDR10 certified display that also achieves full coverage of the DCI-P3 and sRGB color spaces. Furthermore, this display is claimed to reach up to a whopping 600 nits peak brightness. A sampling rate of 120Hz on this screen has been provided to help reduce latency on games. You also get De-Mura screen coloring technology. Lenovo has even added an under-screen fingerprint scanner that is claimed to unlock the phone in just 0.13 seconds. Lastly, the display will feature Gorilla Glass protection.

The camera specifications of the Lenovo Z6 have also been revealed. The back of the phone will offer a triple camera setup comprised of a 24MP Sony IMX576 main camera, 8MP optical zoom lens, and a 5MP wide-angle sensor.  4-in1- pixel binning on the main camera is said to help with low-light photography. Meanwhile, the front of the phone houses a 16MP camera for selfies and video calls. Then there is the battery of this phone that measures in at 4000mAh and supports 15W Quick Charge 3.0.
