LG K42 has been launched in Central America and Caribbean markets. The latest smartphone from LG offers a rugged design language as it comes with MIL-STD-810G certification. The phone features MediaTek processor, 3GB of RAM, a 4,000mAh battery, among others. It is available in two colour options including Grey and Green. LG has not disclosed the LG K42 price yet, but it is said to go on sale in Guatemala, Nicaragua, Panama, Ecuador, Honduras, El Salvador, and Costa Rica.

Coming to the features, the LG K42 is loaded with a unique wave pattern, which comes with UV coating. The device features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor at the right side of the device, while the left side houses volume controls and dedicated Google Assistant key. The front panel equips a punch-hole design, while the back panel comes with a quad-camera setup.

The LG K42 flaunts a 6.6-inch HD+ Punch Hole display with a screen resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels. The phone gets its power from the MediaTek Helio P22 processor, which is clocked at 2.0GHz. The handset equips 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which is expandable via microSD card.

The phone runs on Android 10-based LG UX and offers 3D Sound Engine that the brand claims enhances the audio experience. In terms of cameras, it features quad-camera setup fitted in a square module. The handset supports 13MP primary lens, 5MP wide-angle lens, 2MP depth sensor and 2MP macro shooter. On the front, there is an 8MP selfie camera.

The latest handset from LG comes with MIL-STD-810G certification, which means it can handle extreme environments and is resistant to clumsy moments and hardcore lifestyles. The LG K42 packs a 4,000mAh battery and connectivity options include 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi, GPS, and USB Type-C port.
