LG V40 ThinQ is Finally Coming to India
According to our source, the LG V40 ThinQ will be sold online in India exclusively by Amazon.in. However, customers will also be able to purchase the smartphone from offline retailers across the country. While we cannot confirm a specific launch date, the smartphone will be formally launched in the country before the end of this month. As for pricing, the V40 ThinQ is expected to be priced around INR 45,000.
The LG V40 ThinQ features a 6.4-inch P-OLED display with 1440 x 3120 Quad HD+ resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Under the hood, it runs on a 10nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor clocked at up to 2.7 GHz with an Adreno 630 GPU. In the memory department, LG V40 ThinQ features 6GB of RAM and comes in 64GB and 128GB storage variants. The Indian version is expected to come with 128GB of internal storage.
In the camera department, V40 ThinQ boasts an impressive 12MP + 12MP + 16MP triple-camera setup at the rear. For selfies, it features an 8MP + 5MP dual-camera setup on the front. Connectivity-wise, the flagship smartphone supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, NFC, USB Type-C, and 4G VoLTE. Some of the other key features of the LG V40 ThinQ include a Boombox speaker, 32-bit Quad DAC, IP68 water/dust resistance, MIL-STD-810G compliance, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Keeping the lights on is a 3300mAh capacity non-removable battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 and fast Qi wireless charging support. In terms of software, it currently runs on Android 8.1 Oreo OS with LG UX 7.1 running on top. An upgrade to Android Pie is expected to be rolled out in the second half of the year.
